The G-E-T Community Clothing Closet will open for the school year this Wednesday, September 2nd from 9:00-11:00am. It will be open the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month throughout the school year. All families in the G-E-T School District have access to shop at the Clothing Closet free of charge!

If these hours don't work for your family, individual appointments can be set up.

Please note that all clothing donations are also accepted during the Clothing Closet hours.

A beautiful day to feed 15,000 people.❤️ Thank you Don Mayer for chairing our Rice and Soy Blessing Bag Mission. And thank you Trempealeau volunteers for being awesome, caring people! Midwest Mission will distribute our food bags wherever they are needed. Blessings all around!

In response to the catastrophic flash flooding that occurred along the Nepal-Tibet border on August 26, UMCOR is awarding a solidarity grant to support United Mission Nepal as they aid impacted communities in Dhading and Nuwakot districts with emergency food and non-food item (NFI) assistance. Alongside this grant, UMCOR is continuing to explore opportunities for further response through our partner networks and local assessments.

Please remain in prayer for these communities as the toll of this disaster continues to worsen. Authorities now report that at least 579 people have died and 1,924 people remain missing, with these numbers expected to grow as some areas remain inaccessible. Search and rescue teams are still working to reach communities cut off by the disaster, with damaged roads, landslides, and communications disruptions hindering relief operations and making it difficult to fully assess needs.

We lift up this call for prayer, presence, and continued accompaniment from the Rev. Jung Eun Grace Moon, general secretary of the Christian Conference of Asia, ecumenical partner of The United Methodist Church: “In this time of profound loss and suffering, may God’s comforting presence draw near to all those affected, embrace those who grieve, strengthen those who search and serve, shelter those who have lost their homes and kindle a light of hope amid the darkness.”

Another year has come to an end! What a successful year! We served more lunches than ever before…

3,755!!!

That’s over 1,000 more meals than last year! Looking at the numbers, that breaks down to 2,138 meals for children and 1,617 meals for adults!

First and foremost, thank you to our volunteers!! We could not do this without you!! It takes a lot to cook 50 pounds of ground beef, wash and sort 4 crates of grapes, bake pans and pans of French fries, shred 24 heads of lettuce, prepare 180 servings of watermelon, individually package cases of cookies, fill hundreds of individual cups of salsa, sour cream, syrup, and ranch, make hundreds of pancakes, assemble dozens of yogurt parfaits, plus many, many other jobs!! What our volunteers are able to do in less than two hours is amazing!

Of course, this is all possible thanks to the Trempealeau United Methodist Church. Their wonderful kitchen is the heart of our program and the support their church community gives us is overwhelming!

We are also very grateful for the partnerships we have with the Hunger Task Force of LaCrosse and the Dairy Pricing Association. We get a lot of our food from the Hunger Task Force. The milk coupons and dairy products we use are all paid for by the Dairy Pricing Association.

Thank you to our Trempealeau Lions Club for their continued support.

Thank you to the members of the community and the businesses who donated. Every little bit helps!

Thank you to the students and staff of Trempealeau Elementary who share the fresh vegetables and herbs from the school garden that we are able to offer our patrons.
