CONFIRMATION CLASS REUNION 1965-1978 We had a wonderful time celebrating our “alumni” of St. Peter’s - 23 people gathered this morning to reconnect and share stories from their confirmation - we heard of ski trips, memorizing apostles creed, strict by the book pastors and pastors with guitars, to no gum in class. The group enjoyed coffee, donuts, and muffins. Those in attendance took the celebration to the sanctuary and joined the worship service with added recognition. Was a lovely day had by all.

CONFIRMATION CLASS REUNION: The church is hosting a reunion of the confirmation classes from 1965 through 1978. If you attended confirmation during those years at St. Peter's UCC (Orwin) we welcome you and your family to the confirmation class reunion on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at St. Peter’s. We will start with coffee and donuts in the lower-level social hall at 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Following the social event please join us for worship at 10:30 in the sanctuary. During worship, we will announce names of the confirmation reunion guests who are present. We need help spreading the word - if you are able to reach other members of your confirmation class please pass along this invitation or provide us their address and we will send them an invite.

We are searching for a confirmation class photo from all years listed above. If you have a photo of the confirmation class from those years please bring it along or provide a copy to Pastor Maureen Duffy-Guy, Kay Yoder, or Sherry Morgan. **If you plan to attend, please RSVP by email to [email protected] or contact Sherry Morgan.

Prayer on Ash Wednesday:

Heavenly Father,
On this Ash Wednesday,
we come before You with humble hearts.
As we receive the ashes, remind us that we are dust, and to dust we shall return.
Create in us clean hearts, O God,
and renew a right spirit within us.
Help us to turn away from sin
and walk faithfully in Your light.
May this season of Lent draw us closer to You
through prayer, fasting, and love.
Teach us to trust in Your mercy,
rest in Your grace,
and follow Jesus more deeply each day.
