One day to go! Meet Danny from Team Abide:

Hello, everyone! My name is Danny Magera, and I am a parishioner of Holy Name in Sheridan, WY. What a gift it is to be able to serve – a gift which is Christ Our Lord’s very own mission. Thanks be to God, He has given me an opportunity to share in His mission through serving the diocese and your parishes this summer! Jesus’ Sacred Heart ignited a fire within my own heart, and has left me with a burning desire to share the unbelievable blessing, the abundance of life, that is this Living Flame. If I could ask of you one thing, it would be to pray that the Holy Spirit would draw my fellow missionaries and me closer to the Heart of Our Lord, so that with our hands, our feet, our lives, we may be instruments of Our Father’s Perfect Gift: Christ’s Redeeming Love, given to your children, and to all who long for living water (John 4:10). Please pray for me, as I enter seminary this fall – and know of my prayers for you! May the God of peace make you perfect in holiness. “May he preserve you whole and entire, spirit, soul, and body, irreproachable at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 5:23).

Two days to go! Meet Riley from Team Abide:

I am Riley Gofus from Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. I attend Saint Francis University and I am studying to become a Physician Assistant! I love people, being goofy, and spreading the love of Jesus! A few things I enjoy doing are working out, especially running, spending time in God's creation (sunsets, hikes, stargazing), listening to music, and food!!! I am the mascot at my school (shhh), and I love trying new things! One of my favorite saints is Saint Therese of Lisieux! She is the patron saint of missionaries, and I love her little way! One of my favorite Bible verses is John 15:5, "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." Although I love the whole chapter, this is my favorite verse. I am so joyous to work with people all summer who enjoy spreading God’s love with others. I hope and pray I can touch the lives of others this summer with the help of the Lord. I also pray that my heart is open to what He has for me!

Luke Gifford is a freshman at the University of Wyoming, and if his last name sounds familiar, you’re right—he is the cousin of last year’s missionary, Madi Gifford! Luke is energetic, fun-loving, and known for his impressive accents and spot-on impressions. He enjoys hiking, spending time outdoors, and is a champion Spikeball player. Four days to go! Meet James Bickerstaff from Team Abide!

I'm a sophomore at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota studying Catholic education. I am from a small town in Minnesota near the Mississippi called Rollingstone. Some things that I am enthusiastic about are reading good literature and hiking and trout fishing in the driftless region where I live. Two of my favorite books of the bible are Revelation and Isaiah. I hope to teach math at a Catholic high school after college.

My name is Grace Miller, and I am so excited for this summer! I am a track athlete who will be running for the University of Wyoming, and I will be studying Kinesiology. I love being with people I love and who match my vibe, and I love to jam out to a good song! I lift almost every day, and being active is my life almost as much as God is. I would like to ask for prayers to get through the last stretch of my senior year and to have the energy to be a great missionary.

My name is Henry Fritzler, a seminarian for the Diocese of Cheyenne, WY. My home parish is Immaculate Conception parish in Green River. I enjoy playing the guitar, going for scenic drives, and playing any type of sport. My favorite Scripture: First 2 chapters of the Gospel of Luke, favorite music genre: Country, favorite sport: football. I am excited to be involved with Totus Tuus for the first time and getting to meet many of the parishes throughout the state of Wyoming!

Eight day countdown to Totus Tuus! Let's meet our missionaries. First up, Gigi from team Fiat:

Hey!! My name is Gigi Mahood and I am from Jackson Wyoming. I was born and raised in a beautiful town with four sisters and lots of animals! I love spending time outdoors and specifically backpacking in the Wind River Range. I also love trying anything new and learning more about it! I did multiple sports in middle and high school and also raised livestock through 4-H. I am currently studying Animal Science at the University of Wyoming and Nordic skiing with the club team! I have plans to work with 4-H after school because it was a big part of my life and I want to make it possible for others! I would also love to coach a high school team if given the opportunity. I am super blessed to spend this summer working with Totus Tuus! I hope to help kids know how much God loves them and to grow in my Catholic faith. I have come a long way in my walk with Jesus this year and I want to help others do the same. Looking forward to meeting all of you and your wonderful children! See you soon!
