Mary Ann Thornton Hopkins went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 4, 2026 while resting peacefully at home in Toney, in the community where she had lived almost her entire life.
The family will receive friends. on Tuesday evening from 5pm until 8pm at the Friendship Stateline Freewill Baptist Church in Taft, Tennessee. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at 2pm at the church with Brother Larry Wimmer, Brother Clayton Bunn, and Brother Jerry Hovis officiating. Burial will then follow in Golightly Cemetery. Please be in prayer for her family and all those who loved her so dearly. She will be missed.

Come and worship with us: Crossroads Freewill Baptist Church, 1267 Opp Reynolds Rd. Toney, AL 35773. We start Sunday School at 10:00, Service following around 11:00, Sunday Service starts @ 5:00 and we have Wednesday Night Bible Study starting @ 6:30. We have classes for all ages. We'd love for you to come for a visit and to feel so welcomed you come back and become a part of us.

Janice got to come home and is doing good she has another new medication that will help and then do a follow up with her doctor.

Per Sheila, Sister Janice Sanders is back in the ER high blood pressure don’t know the cause of it but they are working on getting it down she is talking and doing good otherwise and if they get it down she will go home and go to her regular doctor on Tuesday.

The bus will be running on Saturday morning for those who need a ride to Sister Rita's mother's funeral. We will be leaving the church at 9:00. Please reach out to Doran or Melissa if you are planning on riding.

Rita's Mom will be at Brindlee Mountain funeral home, Visitation is Saturday at 10 o'clock for friends and the Service will follow. Then to the Cemetery. Please continue to pray for the family during this difficult time
