First Baptist Lao Church, formally First Baptist Lao Mission, was established in 1981 by Pastor Lim Lintakoon at Houston's First Baptist Church. With the support of Houston's First Baptist Church, the church moved to Westview Baptist Church (Mission Training Center) in 1984. The church was led by pastor Joel Bayluangrath from Feb. 1984 to August 1988. Then, pastor Joel was called to Dallas and lat

er Tennessee. God called Paul Phothisane to lead the Lao church as pastor from 1988 to 2012. In 2008, the church relocated to the Faith Center and adopted a new name, First Baptist Lao Church. We have been faithfully serving God and the Lao community for 40 years and will continue to serve for many years to come. Current Pastor:
Pastor Patrick accepted Jesus Christ in summer of 1988, but not until 1995 that he dedicated his life to serve God. He served as Vice President, President, and Advisor to Lao Baptist Youth (LBY). He graduated with MDiv at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in May 2015. He is bi-vocational minister. He serves as pastor at FBLC since 2012. He is currently serving:
President of Laotian Christian Fellowship 2009-2022
President of United Lao Southern Baptist 2022-2025
