New meetinghouse in Tolleson, Arizona

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints built a meetinghouse in Tolleson, Arizona (March 2014

In the summer of 2012 the LDS meetinghouse in Tolleson burned down. It has recently been rebuilt--with added security--and is open for public use. When the "Open House" signs are up, Church representatives are inside to answer questions, give free tours, share lessons, or guide to further help. Regular activities are held inside the meetinghouse on week nights. These activities include, but are no

t limited to; volleyball, English classes, Boy Scouts, youth activities, service projects, basketball, special classes, choir practices, etc. Free Church tours and answers to questions can be provided at any time by local missionaries:

Worship services are Sunday at 9:00 and 11:00 AM for English y a la 1:00 para Espanol.

Community volleyball went great! It was played deep into the night. This match was the women vs. the young men. Volleyball, basketball, and other sports are played here often . Grab some friends and come visit and play together!

Wednesday, July 9th at 8 PM there is a VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT in the gym. Teams will be made with those who come. Invite your friends and family. Everyone can participate or watch, but only the strong will win!! :)

Every Wednesday night there are GREAT activities here! Here are a couple examples: Boy Scouts and acting in a play of Bible characters! Bring your little ones and learn, grow, and enjoy together.

Wow! Great activity today in the meetinghouse! Sewing for Babies made its regular visit. First Tuesday of every month! This is an "interfaith community group" and is a great charitable act of service that any are welcome to participate in. Please contact Sister Burton (Tolleson ward) for information: 623-936-3412

Members of the page--This page has the potential to make a lasting community impact here. Many know the story of it burning down and being rebuilt and many have seen the new building itself. When more people like the page, we can start posting all the activities that we have so people come!We have physically opened the doors and now they are opening to the community online. PLEASE invite people to like this. PLEASE help get the word out of this new building. This is a central figure of the work of salvation in Tolleson, Avondale, and Phoenix cities. When this page gets going Elders Castro and I will stop being administrators and put in someone local so the work to bring souls unto Christ doesn't cease with this new chapel. We PLEAD with you; this cannot be done by a couple people and it is not our idea or our thing, we are just trying to carry out what the Spirit inspires us to do.
