Tioga Evergreen Cemetery Our mission is to honor the memory of those who have chosen to have their resting place at Evergreen

The mission of the Evergreen Cemetery Association is to honor the meaning of those who have chosen to have Evergreen as their final resting place. We will strive to create a dignified and respectful environment for those who visit our cemetery to honor the meaning of a friend or loved one. Our facilities will be maintained with the highest standards of care so that memories of those interred may be visited in comfort and dignified respect.

❤️ PLEASE HELP US KEEP TIOGA EVERGREEN CEMETERY BEAUTIFUL ❤️

Today I made several calls and, unfortunately, we learned that the township will not be taking over the cemetery as we had hoped.

That leaves us with a very difficult situation. Without volunteers willing to step up and help, there is a real possibility that our cemetery could eventually become abandoned and no longer maintained.

We simply cannot let that happen.

So many people have worked incredibly hard over the years to make Tioga Evergreen Cemetery the beautiful, peaceful place it is today. It is the final resting place of our loved ones, family members, friends, and neighbors. It deserves to continue being cared for with the same love and respect.

We have a few weeks before we leave for vacation, and we are hoping that during that time we can find some people who are willing to step up and help keep the cemetery going.

You don’t have to know everything or commit to doing it all. We just need people who are willing to help. Even a little help can make a big difference.

A message regarding TIOGA EVERGREEN CEMETERY

Randy, Faye, and I want to let everyone know that we will no longer be responsible for the care of Tioga Evergreen Cemetery.

We have all recently retired and are looking forward to doing some traveling. After giving this a lot of thought, we feel it would be unfair to the people who depend on us if we could no longer give the cemetery the time and attention it deserves.

We will be attending the Township meeting on Tuesday evening to turn over the paperwork and officially hand things over. If anyone is interested in stepping up to help with the cemetery or would like more information about what is involved, we would truly appreciate hearing from you.

We have loved our time caring for the cemetery and are very proud of the shape we are leaving it in. This has always been a completely volunteer job. During all the years Randy, Faye, and I took care of the cemetery, we never received a dime for our work. We did it because we cared about the cemetery and the people whose loved ones are there.

Going forward, Tioga Township will be accepting donations for the cemetery. Donations can also be made through Citizens & Northern Bank in Tioga.

We sincerely hope someone will step up and care for Tioga Evergreen Cemetery with the same pride and dedication that we have. It has meant a lot to us to be able to serve our community in this way.

Thank you all for the kind words, support, and appreciation you have shown us over the years. It truly means more than you know.

We are happy with the way the cemetery looks today, and we hope someone will continue to take pride in keeping it that way.
