FEAST DAY OF BLESSED MICHAEL J. McGIVNEY
August 13 | Founder of the Knights of Columbus

Today, we joyfully celebrate the feast day of Blessed Michael J. McGivney, a faithful priest, servant of God, and founder of the Knights of Columbus.

Born from his deep love for God and concern for Catholic families, Father McGivney envisioned a brotherhood where Catholic men could support one another in faith, strengthen their families, serve their parishes, and extend a helping hand to those in need. His vision became the foundation of a worldwide fraternity built upon the principles of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity.

As brother Knights, may we never forget the mission and legacy entrusted to us by our founder. May his example inspire us to become better husbands, fathers, sons, brothers, and faithful servants of the Church. May we continue to live out our Catholic faith not only through our prayers, but also through acts of charity, compassion, and service to our communities.

On this special day, may we ask Blessed Michael J. McGivney to intercede for all Knights of Columbus, our families, our parish communities, and all those whom we serve. May he guide us in remaining faithful to our vocation as Catholic gentlemen and encourage us to continue building a stronger brotherhood rooted in Christ.

Let us also pray for his canonization, that the Church may soon recognize him as a saint and that his life and example may continue to inspire generations of Catholics throughout the world.

Blessed Michael J. McGivney, pray for us.
Intercede for our families and our brother Knights.
Guide us in faith, charity, unity, and fraternity.
May God grant your canonization according to His holy will.
