The Gospel:
“Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly
, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.””
John 3:3
All have fallen short of the glory of God, and all have sinned against Him and Him alone. Every man has the Law of God, the Ten Commandments, written on their hearts, and knowing right from wrong, have willfully rebelled against God and His Law. The wages of sin is death, and it has been appointed by God that every man shall die for their sin, and then the judgment. God, being perfect, holy, and just, will judge every man according to his deeds. Man cannot please God by his own good works.
“For all of us have become like one who is unclean, And all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment, And all of us wither like a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.”
Isaiah 64:6
““Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done.”
Revelation 22:12
But God, being rich in mercy, has provided a payment for sin for His people. The God-Man, Jesus Christ, came to earth, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, in perfect obedience to the Law of God, died on a cross, in order to die the death every man deserves, and provide a satisfactory payment for the sins of all who will believe.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
Ephesians 2:8-9
If man will only repent of his sins, and believe wholly, and completely in the work and person of Jesus Christ alone for his salvation, and right standing with God, he will be saved. All his sins, past, present, and future, will be forgiven. He will be born again, receiving eternal life, his name will be written in the Book of Life, never to be removed, given a new heart, with new desires to love, obey and follow the Lord Jesus Christ forever.
“If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth, he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.””
Romans 10:9-13
Scripture:
We believe that scripture, that is the Holy Bible, both Old and New Testament and the 66 books contained therein, is the literal, authoritative, and holy word of God, given to men, and written by flawed (fallible) men but under the perfect guidance, inspiration, and power of the Holy Spirit, that is sufficient, without error (inerrant), incapable of error (infallible), and timeless (immutable), given once for all time, for the purpose of salvation, revelation of His character and will, rebuking, and training in righteousness.(2 Timothy 3:15-16, Romans 1:16, 1 Thessalonians 2:13, Psalm 19:7-10, 2 Peter 1:19-21, Jude 3)
God:
We believe that God is one, revealed plainly in the pages of Scripture, and is the one, true, and living God, who is of one nature, in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each being fully divine, co-equal, co-eternal, without beginning or end, holy and perfect, and undivided. He is just, loving, all-powerful (omnipotent), all-knowing (omniscient), present everywhere (omnipresent), needs nothing or no one, sovereign over Heaven and Earth doing whatever He pleases, invisible, immense, and infinite, being spirit without body or parts, without passions or sin. He is the absolute, authoritative, abundant, merciful, long-suffering, Creator, Savior, and Judge of man, who hates sin, and punishes the guilty. (Genesis 1:1,26, 1 Corinthians 8:4, James 2:19, 4:12, Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 45:5-7, Matthew 28:19)
God the Father:
We believe God the Father is the first person and head of the Holy Trinity. He is Holy, righteous, just, loving, merciful, gracious, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, all things were created in Him, and through Him for His glory and His purpose. He is not the author of sin, nor does He approve of sin, but it is by His perfect and goodwill, that all events are decreed. He is the Father of all mankind, but only the spiritual Father to His children, the elect whom He has chosen by grace alone, from eternity past, to save through His only Son, Jesus Christ. ( Psalm 145:8-9, 1 Corinthians 8:6, Ephesian 1:4-6, 4:6, 1 Peter 1:17, 2 Corinthians 6:18, John 1:12, Hebrews 12:5-9, 1 John 3:1-3, James 1:17)
God the Son:
We believe that God the Son, that is Jesus Christ, is the second person of the Holy Trinity. Holy, righteous, just, loving, merciful, gracious, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, all things were created in Him, and through Him. He is co-equal to the Father and is the Son in relationship only and has submitted Himself to the Father for the purpose of salvation. He is both truly God and truly Man and sits as the Head and the Bridegroom of the Church, who will be co-heirs and co-rulers for all eternity. He is The Good Shepherd, who loves and gave His life for His sheep. He is the Lamb of God, who condescended to earth, being born of a virgin, living a perfect and sinless life in obedience to the Father, even to the point of death, dying on a cross, being buried, and then rising from the dead on the third day. He has since ascended to the right hand of the Father, and is the Great and Eternal High Priest, praying and interceding on behalf of all believers. He is the Alpha and the Omega, having authority over Heaven and Earth, who will return at the appointed time, to both claim His Bride and judge the nations. (Hebrews 1:1-13, 2:10,14-15,18, 3:1-3, 4:14-15, Revelation 1:8, 17-18, 4:2-5, 8-11, 5:5-14,17:14,19:11-16, 20:11-15, John 1:1-3, 10:11,14, Matthew 9:15, 20:17-19, 28:1-10, Ephesians 1:19-23, 3:11-12, 1 Timothy 6:15-16)
God the Holy Spirit:
We believe God the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Holy Trinity. Holy, righteous, just, loving, merciful, gracious, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, it is by His power all things were created. It is by Him the power of God is displayed through His regeneration of man, wrath, signs and wonders, salvation, sanctification, and glorification of His people, whom He keeps and seals for eternity. He is sovereign in His regeneration, enlightenment of scripture, and gifts given to the body of Christ, the Church. It is through Him that the Church is able to serve, worship, pray, preach, love, and witness to the world. (Genesis 1:2, Romans 1:4, 8:9,14, Matthew 3:16, 12:28, 1 Corinthians 2:10-16, 3:16, Job 33:4, Exodus 31:3, 2 Timothy 1:7, 1 Samuel 10:10, Acts 2:2-4, 4:8-12, 6:8-10, Hebrews 3:7-11)
Man:
We believe that God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, created man according to the revelation of Genesis Chapter 1, on the 6th day of Creation, of one human race, both male and female with immortal souls, in Their likeness, with knowledge of God, and the Law of God written on their hearts, with their own will that was capable to change, for the purpose of communion, worship, procreation, and dominion of the Earth, for His own glory. Though originally created sinless, the disobedience of Adam brought about sin upon all of humanity, and every man born since, inherits his original sin and sin nature. (Genesis 1:26-31, 3, Hebrews 10:16, Romans 2:15)
Fall of Man:
We believe that God created man, both male and female only, sinless, upright, and free, with a will subject to change. They were given the perfect Law of God, not to eat of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, with the punishment of death should it be broken. Not being the author of sin, but being holy, righteous, and sovereign over His creation, God allowed Satan to tempt Eve to eat the forbidden fruit in order to use it for His own glory. Eve, being free and able, without force, ate of the fruit and gave some to her husband, Adam, who also was free and possessed his own will, and sinned by consciously defying the holy and righteous Law of God. Upon their sin being found out, the Lord God in His wise and holy counsel justly cursed the serpent for his evil, and man for his disobedience. Consequently, God banished them from The Garden of Eden where they enjoyed perfect communion with God, but mercifully delayed their death, and promised that by the womb of the woman, Eve, that mankind would be redeemed through one Man, who would bruise the head of the serpent, yet would also have His heel bruised. Being the root of mankind, the guilt of their original sin would be given (imputed) to each following generation. Each person now being conceived in sin and born as a child of wrath, slave to sin and death, spiritually dead, with a corrupt heart, depraved mind, incapable of righteousness, and bent towards evil, suffering, and misery continually, unless the Lord Jesus Christ sets them free. (Genesis 2-3, Romans 1:18-31, 3:10-18,5:12,19, 6:16, 7:14-24, Ephesians 2:1-3,1 Corinthians 6:9-10, John 3:3, 8:34, Psalm 51:5)
Salvation:
We believe salvation is a gift sovereignly provided by the grace of God alone, for the glory of God alone. The preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, found only in the Word of God, is the only means through which man can be saved. “For it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” and “in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith”. Man, being depraved, conceived, and born in sin, is incapable of righteousness, and must be regenerated by the Holy Spirit. Through the power of the Word of God and the Holy Spirit, man is shown his sinful nature, given faith to believe in Christ, and is made able to humble himself before God in godly sorrow and repentance, and pray for mercy and forgiveness. Upon regeneration, man is instantly forgiven of all sin, past, present, and future, declared righteous before the Father, through the work and person of The Son Jesus Christ, indwelled and by the Holy Spirit. Through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, believers are obedient, sanctified, secured in their righteous standing (justified) before Father and Son, and sealed until the last day. Though being declared righteous (justified), the corruption of the old man(the flesh) and sin still exists in the life of the believer, providing a need for continual preaching and calling for repentance, war against the flesh and sin, and progressive holiness in the life of the believer. (Romans 1:16, 2:4, 2:12-15, 3:10-31, 4:1-8, 5:1, 5:8, 6:6, 6:15, 6:23, 7:14-25, 8, 9,10:9-15, John 3:3, 15:5, 15:16, Ephesians 1:3-14, 2:1-10, 2:13, 4:30, Hebrews 11:6,1 John 5:11, 6:35-40, 6:44, 6:47-51, 6:53-58, Acts 4:12)
The Church:
The Bride of Christ, the Church, is the assembly of the redeemed, born-again, chosen people of God. Each member is being built up and united together into the body of Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Each member of the church is given spiritual gifts, which are given to edify and serve the Church and give glory to God. The Church has been entrusted by Christ, by chosen men who have been given gifts by the Holy Spirit, in order to teach and preach the Word of God, lead, discipline, and administer the ordinances of Baptism and The Lord’s Supper and protect the flock. All members are given gifts by the Holy Spirit upon regeneration in order to serve and edify the body for the work of Christ. The Church is responsible for proclaiming the Gospel to all creation, and fulfilling the Great Commission by making disciples of all nations, and defending the truth. (Ephesians 2:17-22, 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13, 1 Timothy 3:1-12,3:15,4:13,6:17-21, 2 Timothy 2:14-15,4:1-2, Matthew 28:19,Romans 11:29, 1 Corinthians 12:4-31)
The Last Things (the Resurrection and Judgement):
All men will die and face judgment. At the time of death, the soul and body are separated. Those who have been chosen and saved by God will dwell with Him in Heaven with His holy angels. Those who have been condemned will be judged for their sin and cast into Hell. At the appointed time, God will stop striving with man, and Jesus Christ will return from Heaven to pronounce judgment upon the world. Those who are alive during the return of Christ, who have been chosen and saved, will be raptured out of this world to be with Him in Heaven. Through disease, war, famine, and plagues, man will be hastened to death, and all of creation will be destroyed by fire. All the dead will be raised up and brought before the throne of Christ for judgment. Those whose names are found in the Lamb’s Book of Life will be saved and joined to a new body, one that is eternal, that will never grow tired or sick, and free of sin and pain. They will have every tear wiped away and rewarded for their deeds done on Earth, once again dwell in perfect communion with God, on a new Earth to serve, worship, and praise Him forever and ever. Those whose names are not found in the Lamb’s Book of Life will be condemned and joined to a new body, one that is eternal, that will never be consumed, but will feel all pain and misery and thrown into the lake of fire, that is Hell, the place of unquenchable fire, complete darkness, torment, and divine wrath, separated from the mercy, grace, and love of God, but not His unadulterated fury and anger, where the worm does not die, and there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Matthew 24:29-31, 24:50-51, 25:31–46, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 5:1-3, Revelation 7:13-17,8, 9, 16, 19:7-9,19:11-21, 20:11-15, 21:1-8, 21:22-27, 22:1-7)
