“New Wine Requires A New Wineskin”

This Sunday, we were reminded that God is looking for someone who is looking for HIM.

You can chase the blessing and miss the Blesser. You can chase the promise and miss the Promise Keeper. You can want the gifts and miss the Giver.

JESUS IS THE PRIZE.
It’s not about YOU, it’s all about HIM.🙌

If you want the new wine, you need a new wineskin.

A new wineskin is HUNGRY.
A new wineskin is THIRSTY.
A new wineskin is AVAILABLE.
A new wineskin says, “Lord, I NEED YOU.”

God isn’t looking for the most qualified.
He’s looking for someone who will look to HIM, lean on HIM, and point others to HIM.

GOD HAS MORE. THE NEW WINE IS BETTER.
BUT YOU NEED A NEW WINESKIN TO CARRY IT.

Join us tomorrow at 10:30 AM for a powerful time in the presence of God! We’re believing for the mighty power of God to move in this house, and we want YOU to be there with us!

And following service, we’ll be gathering together for a special meal celebrating Pastor Gary’s birthday!

We want to take this time to shower Pastor Gary with love and appreciation for his love, care, obedience to the Lord, and his willingness to dig deep into the Lord’s vision for our church. We are so thankful for the shepherd God has placed over this house!

“We Know How to Have Church”
There’s a difference between being a promise chaser and being a God chaser. ❤️‍🔥

You can know how to have church. You can know when it starts, when to sing, when to shout, and how to go through the motions, yet still miss the presence of God.

The children of Israel wanted the Promised Land, but Moses wanted God Himself.

That’s the heart of a God chaser.

We don’t just want the blessing. We want the One who gives the blessing. We don’t just want the promise. We want His presence. We don’t just want a house. We want a house built on the Rock. We don’t just want success. We want Jesus.

You can have the promise and miss the presence.

Matthew 5 reminds us that those who hunger and thirst for righteousness will be filled. God responds to genuine hunger for Him!

And when we truly encounter Jesus, we don’t leave the same. His presence transforms us. It makes us holy. It changes how we walk, how we respond when life gets hard, and who we are when nobody is watching.

The question isn’t just, “Did you have church?”
Did you encounter Jesus?

Are you chasing what God can give you, or are you chasing after God Himself?

Our families need Jesus. Our young people need Jesus. Our churches need Jesus. We need an encounter with Jesus!

Lord, shake everything until there’s nothing left to stand on but You.
Make us God chasers, not just promise chasers.
