The President of the United States is planning a national prayer event to rededicate America under God on May 17, 2026.
A sitting president, standing beneath a cross, calling the nation back to the source it was built on. That image alone is a statement. The rededication of America under God is not a religious ceremony for the benefit of one denomination or one tradition. It is an acknowledgment that this nation's authority, freedom, and purpose were never self-generated. They came from a source above any president, any party, or any political movement.
Whether this moment becomes historically significant or not will depend on what happens after the event. Rededication that does not produce changed behavior is just ceremony. But the act of a nation's leader publicly calling it back to God, on a specific date, with intention, is the kind of thing that invites a divine response.
May 17 is a date worth marking on the calendar.
