Paradisus Church of God Praise and Worship Center Church Prior to becoming a Pastor, Richard Chronister was the adult Wednesday night Bible study teacher and the worship leader at the ‘York Revival Center’.

He also held a service once a month at the York County Prison. Him and his wife, Joan has had ‘The Outreach for Christ Ministry’; a prison ministry since 1979, sending The Power & Praise Magazine all over the United States. They started with only 7 names, and through the years it grew to over 700 on the mailing list at one point. The Outreach Ministry still continues today. Richard Chronister felt

the calling to become a Pastor in March of 1987 after attending a service with Pastor John Foster; the Pastor of the York Church of God. Pastor Foster had been trying his best to keep the services going at his own church plus keep the doors opened at a little church in Hanover that was in need of a Pastor. Brother Chronister went home that evening and couldn’t sleep. He was so restless as God dealt with his heart. After much prayer and council with his wife, he decided to call Pastor Foster the following morning and tell him he felt he should be the Pastor of that church. The very first service was held on April 12, 1987. After 7 years, the church became over-crowded as people began to be drawn in. People would even stand on the front porch as they worshiped and praised God, because there was not enough room inside. Unable to add to the church building or have adequate parking, the Pastor and his family began searching for a plot of ground to build on. They found one in Thomasville, and the process of planning and purchasing began. The first service there was held on December 18, 1995. Pastor Chronister, his wife, and family are continuing on in the Lord where they feel God has called them to be as they are faithful and committed to God.

I debated whether I would share this, but I just couldn’t help myself! 😭🙌🏽❤️

Today, I was sitting in my office when I received a call from one of my teachers. She told me that a student had asked her to call me because he felt like I wasn’t feeling well and said he needed to pray for me. 🥹

Now here’s the part that really got me… I hadn’t even seen or interacted with this student at all today prior to this moment. It wasn’t like he had seen me and thought I looked tired, sad, or like I wasn’t feeling well. He simply felt in his heart that he needed to pray for his principal. 😭🙌🏽

Y’all… I got up from my seat and went to see him. I called him into the hallway, and this precious child prayed for his principal! 🙏🏽❤️

He wasn’t asked to do it. He wasn’t prompted. I didn’t tell him I needed prayer. It was simply placed on his heart.

And THAT blessed my whole soul! 😭😭🙌🏽🙌🏽❤️❤️
Sometimes, while we are so busy pouring into our children, God will use one of those very children to pour right back into us.

I spend my days trying to make sure my students know they are loved, protected, supported, and cared for. But today, one of my babies reminded me that they care about their principal too. 🥹❤️

Out of the mouths of babes…
I don’t take moments like this lightly. Today, I’m simply grateful that when this little one felt led to pray for his principal, he had the heart, compassion, and courage to do it. 🙏🏽

This one will stay with me for a LONG time! ❤️😭🙌🏽

I saw this picture on a post. I didn't read the post. The picture captured me. I hope whoever this is dont mind but this.....this used to be the norm in the church. It needs to be again. We as Christians ALL need to get back to a weeping heart, a prayerful life, and true praise to God. Im so tired of hearing people say God doesn't move like He used to!! He never changes. He still moves!! Its the people that don't move like we used to. Quit blaming God

The Bridegroom at the Well

Throughout Scripture, wells became places of divine encounters between brides and bridegrooms.

Rebekah was found at a well and became Isaac’s bride (Genesis 24).
Jacob met Rachel at a well (Genesis 29).
Moses met Zipporah at a well (Exodus 2).

Then we come to John 4.

Another woman. Another well. But this time, the Man waiting there is Jesus—the Bridegroom.

Just verses earlier John declared, “The bride belongs to the bridegroom.” (John 3:29)

And the woman is a Samaritan—from a people with Israelite roots, yet separated from the Jewish community. Could this familiar well-and-bride pattern be a prophetic glimpse of something greater? Jesus came to gather a Bride from beyond every ethnic, religious, and social boundary.

She came thirsty for ordinary water.

The Bridegroom offered her Living Water.

She came carrying a jar.
She left carrying a testimony.

It wasn’t the water He came for.
It was her.
