THE OFFICE IS CLOSED MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 7,

IN OBSERVANCE OF LABOR DAY

ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAY!

image.png
Join us on Tuesday, September 8th at 5pm at the White Dove Laundromat behind Jim & Nena's Pizza in East Berlin. There, we'll greet our neighbors with quarters and detergent so that they can do their laundry. You will not be asked to do anyone's laundry, merely to provide supplies and a smile. See Judy Burgard with questions. This is an easy and helpful ministry.

image.png
Wednesday morning begins with fellowship and breakfast (Dutch treat) at 8:30 the East Berlin Diner across the street from the church at the old Lau's building. (NOTE: If the restaurant is closed for any reason we'll gather at Deja Brew, on the right as you head out Abbottstown St. toward Weis Market - parking is in the rear.) Then, at 10a.m. we'll gather in the Chapel at Trinity for Morning Prayer, including the praying of the names on the prayer list. This worship service is also streamed to the Facebook Group, "Trinity EB Fellowship Group." This group is set to be private (Nothing is 100% private on the internet.) and will expire after 30 days. If you are not a member of the Fellowship Group and would like to be, "friend" Pastor Susan on Facebook and she'll add you.

image.png
TRINITY'S PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY will meet Wednesday, September 9 at 2pm in the church building's front parlor. Participants gather to knit, crochet, learn to knit or crochet, talk about who may benefit from a Prayer Shawl, pray over the completed shawls, pray for shawl recipients, and enjoy conversation and fellowship. You don't need to knit or crochet to participate - maybe you'd like to take a shawl to someone. This is a great place to get one and learn how they're typically delivered. See Pat Bjonnes with questions.
image.png
CAREGIVING is a special ministry of love that most of us are called to for at least one season of our lives. If you're a caregiver, have been a caregiver, or see your life going in that direction, please join us Thursday, 9/10 at 10a.m. in the chapel. We get together with no agenda, just time to listen to, talk to, pray with and share helpful tips with one another. Everything shared at the Caregivers' Group is not shared outside the group. If you have questions, please see Pastor Susan.
image.png
The East Berlin Area Community Center is hosting its FALL FESTIVAL on Saturday, September 12 from 8am-2pm on the EBACC grounds. The festival includes vendors, hog maw, soups, sandwiches, desserts, a car show, and lots of fun!
Call 717-259-8848 for more information, or go to EBACC.org.

THANK YOU! After months of planning and preparation and the help of a small but very determined and dedicated army of volunteers, we successfully pulled off our annual Penny Carnival event on Saturday, August 8, 2026!

Whether you contributed donations toward games or food, participated in our planning meetings, led preparations in the weeks leading up to the event or volunteered the day of the event, we appreciate you! I'm especially grateful for those who return to help out year after year - you know what you need to do and you get right to work...and you're a huge part of why things go so smoothly, so an extra special thanks to our repeat volunteers!

Anyone who glanced at our sign-up sheets knows that our annual Penny Carnival event requires a great deal of help and support and we truly couldn't do it without the generosity and time that so many of you gave. Thanks again! ~Ali Long

PS: If you haven't volunteered to help at our Penny Carnival in the past, please consider joining us next year - it's a great way to get to know other members of the congregation and make new friends.

HOLY HOTDOGS WRAPS UP THIS WEEK!

Come at 4:00 Wednesday to stuff bags, cook the hotdogs & set up. Come at 5:00 to watch the miracle of God at work. Guests receive a hotdog meal, a smile and greeting, and the message that God, and Trinity, loves them! Don’t miss out: everyone can participate in the work and in the eating of this welcome and this week we'll be having an end-of-season celebration when all the Holy Hotdogs are gone. See Ruthann Bowen for details.

The Sharing Shelf has a new need for tuna, vienna sausages, canned potatoes, au gratin potatoes, and scalloped potato mixes. Thank you to everyone who provided the rice dinners and canned fruit! We now have plenty of those! Please think about this ministry when you are grocery shopping and donate if you are able. Thank you!
