We are excited to announce our new 1st/2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Lydia Chitwood! Lydia Adams Chitwood

““Hello! My name is Mrs. Lydia, and I am so excited to be joining City School South as the 1st/2nd grade teacher this year! I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Emmanuel University, and this will be year 5 in my teaching career!

On a personal note, I am married to my wonderful husband, Justin, and we have a 2-year-old son named Henry who keeps life very busy and full of joy! In my free time, I enjoy running, cooking, singing at my church, and spending time with my family and friends. Some of my favorite things include good coffee, sour candy, anything Disney, and the fall season!

I am truly looking forward to getting to know each of my students and their families this year. It is such a privilege to be a part of their learning journey, and I am excited to watch them grow and gain confidence throughout the school year! “
