Originally constructed in 1913, the Pulitzer Memorial has stood at Woodlawn for more than a century. Designed by architect Duncan Candler and sculpted by William Ordway Partridge, the monument is crafted from Barre granite and features a bronze figure seated in quiet contemplation of an urn.

These photos offer a glimpse into how this remarkable monument has endured through the decades, continuing to tell its story while preserving the artistry and symbolism of its original design.

This Memorial Day, we were honored to support the Woodlawn Taxpayers Association’s 100th Annual Memorial Day Observance, a meaningful tradition dedicated to remembering and honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

As part of this year's commemoration, we provided the flags, printed programs, and commemorative wreath for the ceremony. A Proclamation honoring this 100-year tradition was received from The Office of The Bronx Borough President President Vanessa L. Gibson .

We are proud to continue supporting this longstanding tradition and thank everyone who joined in honoring our nation's heroes.
