Emmanuel’s Paper Hugs Ministry celebrated one year of handcrafting cards for Oakwood nursing home residents! Each resident, in the past year, has received an individualized birthday, Christmas and Easter card. These cards were not only handmade, but were also signed. The church family also prays for Oakwood residents and their caregivers. Here’s a picture of one family that participated this year, dropping off cards for residents with May birthdays. Thanks to all who have created, donated and prayed to make this ministry happen! We look forward to many years of giving more “Paper Hugs”!

Two members of the church’s Paper Hugs Ministry recently dropped off handmade cards for all Oakwood Health Centet residents with March birthdays. The Ministry prays for the residents and creates cards to help the residents know they are loved.

The Paper Hugs Ministry of Emmanuel Lutheran Church recently delivered St. Valentine Day cards for every resident of Oakwood Health Campus. These cards were handmade by members and signed. The church also prays for all who touch the cards and receive them! It is hoped that all who receive the cards know they are loved and someone is thinking of them, even if the church doesn’t personally know who is receiving them. Happy St. Valentine’s Day to all! Our Paper Hugs Ministry has been busy! We successfully made, signed and added residents names (first names only) for Christmas cards for all Oakwood nursing home residents (second picture). Also today we dropped off hand- made birthday cards for all residents with January birthdays. (First picture is one of the Paper Hugs’s Ministry members at Oakwood. ). Please pray for all residents. We also ask for prayers that this ministry continue to be blessed with talent to create the cards and means to supply the products. God’s Blessings to all for a Happy New Year!
