Roofing Update – Work Has Begun!

We are excited to share that work has officially begun on our girls' dormitory roof! It is such a blessing to see the roofers on campus and progress being made toward taking care of this much-needed project!

Praise the Lord! Since our last update, we have received another $900 toward the roof, bringing our total to $21,516.67!

We are so grateful to everyone who has given, prayed, and shared this need with others. Your kindness and generosity have been such an encouragement to us!

There is still work to be done, but we are thankful to see this project moving forward. Please continue to keep this need in your prayers as we trust the Lord to provide the remaining $28,883.33.

An Update on Our Urgent Roofing Need!

We wanted to take a moment to share an update on our girls' dormitory roof and say THANK YOU to everyone who has given, prayed, and shared this need with others!

Praise the Lord! We have now received $20,616.67 toward our $50,400 goal!

We are so grateful for the generosity and kindness that has been shown to the Lighthouse. It has been such an encouragement to see so many friends come together to help us with this unexpected need.

Here's where we currently stand:
Total Needed: $50,400
Amount Received: $20,616.67
Remaining Needed: $29,783.33

Our goal is to begin replacing the dormitory roof this coming Monday! With just the weekend ahead of us, we ask that you please continue to pray with us that the remaining amount will come in so we can move forward with this much-needed project.

Throughout the years, we have seen the Lord provide for the Lighthouse time and time again, and we are trusting Him to do so once again!

If the Lord lays it on your heart to help with this urgent need, every gift, no matter the amount, will be a tremendous blessing.

What a Wonderful Night! Thank You! 🎶

We want to thank everyone who came out and celebrated with us! It was such a blessing to see so many familiar faces and spend the evening enjoying great gospel music and fellowship together.

A special thank you to McKamey Legacy, Jeff Tolbert & Primitive Road, and Gospel Road! We appreciate the groups for sharing their talents and helping make this evening so special.

We are so thankful for all the Lord has done throughout the years and for each person who has been a part of this ministry along the way. Whether you were able to celebrate with us in person or were cheering us on from afar, we are grateful for your continued prayers, love, and support.

We can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for the years to come!

An Update on Our Roofing Need

Yesterday, we shared about the unexpected roofing need at our girls' dormitory following the recent hurricane.

We have received a quote, and the cost to replace the roof will be $50,400. While we knew this would be a costly project, it is certainly a large expense that we were not expecting. This is a need that cannot be put off, and we are working toward getting it taken care of as soon as possible.

We also want to say how thankful we are for those who have already given, prayed, and shared this need. It means so much to know that we have friends who care about the Lighthouse and are willing to help when unexpected needs like this arise.
Please continue to keep this urgent need in your prayers. Throughout the years, we have seen the Lord provide for this ministry time and time again, and we are trusting Him to provide once again.

An Unexpected Need at the Lighthouse

“When the storms of life are raging, stand by me.”

Little did we know when sharing these words in our recent newsletter that we would soon be sharing an update about the effects of a storm right here at the Lighthouse.

We are thankful that the Lord protected us during the recent hurricane and spared us from substantial damage. However, the heavy rains revealed a serious concern with the roof of our girls' dormitory, as water began leaking into the hallways.

With the shingles being over 25 years old, it appears the entire roof will need to be replaced. This has quickly become one of our most urgent needs.

We are currently waiting on roofing estimates, but we know this will be a significant expense for the ministry. Once we have a confirmed cost, we will share an update.

Throughout nearly 50 years of ministry, we have seen God faithfully provide for our needs time and time again. We are asking our Lighthouse family to join us in praying that He will provide once again.

We are excited to announce our next Gospel Sing at Lighthouse Children’s Home!

Join us on Friday, October 16 for a special evening featuring McKamey Legacy and Jeff Tolbert & Primitive Road as we celebrate 50 Years of God’s Faithfulness to the ministry of Lighthouse Children’s Home.

For nearly five decades, God has faithfully provided for Lighthouse and allowed us to remain A Place of Second Chances for young ladies caught in the storms of life. We are so thankful for the many friends who have prayed, given, visited, volunteered, and stood alongside this ministry through the years. We would love for you to come celebrate this special milestone with us!

What a wonderful evening we had Friday night!

We want to say thank you to everyone who joined us for our Gospel Sing with Legacy Five and The Whisnants! We are so thankful for each one of you who came out and helped make it such a special night.

There was such a sweet spirit throughout the evening, and we are grateful for the wonderful Gospel music, fellowship, and time spent together. It is always a blessing to see so many friends of Lighthouse gathered together!

Thank you again for coming and being part of the evening. We are truly grateful for each of you and hope you were as blessed by the night as we were! ❤️
