Nobody talks enough about this.
Some doors in life do not open through comfort.

They open through sacrifice.

Paul understood something many of us are still learning, he found life when he stopped trying to protect it.

Not preserving.
Not playing it safe.
Not living guarded.
But poured out.

And maybe that’s the tension some of us are facing right now:

Are we asking God for the next stage while resisting the very surrender that leads us there?

There’s reward on the other side of obedience.

Not because we lack faith, but because it became difficult.

And somewhere along the way we assumed, “If God is in it, it should be easy.”

But Scripture tells a different story.

Sometimes God calls us uphill.

Not to punish us, but to strengthen us!
There’s a dual purpose to obedience. It’s to Fulfill His will…and preparing us for the next assignment.

Maybe the struggle isn’t proof God left.
Maybe it’s proof He’s building something deeper.

Worship isn’t limited to a song on Sunday.

Sometimes worship looks like serving, building, cleaning, carrying, organizing, and showing up with a willing heart.

Authentic faith isn’t just something we believe. It’s something we live. When we use our time, gifts, and energy to serve others, we reflect the heart of Jesus and help create space for people to encounter Him.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
Colossians 3:23

Thank you to everyone who gave their time and served at our work party. Every act of service matters, and every willing hand helps build what God is doing in this house.

You may need to watch this clip more than once.

Because this definition of flattery is unreal and deep.

Pastor Chris definition is this, “Flattery is saying to a person’s face what you would never say behind their back.”

Did you really catch that?
It’s not encouragement, honor or genuine affirmation. Flattery is praise with an agenda.

And Paul said in the Bible, “I didn’t come like that.” He no need agedna of manipulation, hidden motives or the need to prove why he was there. Paul, just a sincere desire for people to know Jesus.

And maybe this is part of sanctification we need to take hold of, in a new way.
Not just cleansing our actions… but allowing God to purify our motives.

Question: When we speak highly of people… is it love, or leverage?

Have we mistaken comfort for confirmation?
Because if everything in life is effortless, smooth, and never stretching us… we may need to pause and ask why.

The reality is this. Our calling costs us something, obedience always stretches us and purpose often comes with pressure.
John Maxwell said, “Anything worth doing is uphill.”

So maybe the resistance you’re facing is not proof that God isn’t in it, maybe it’s evidence that He is.
