What a sweet way to wrap up the summer together.

We loved getting to enjoy the sunshine, share a meal, laugh, and simply spend time together as a church family at our Summer Celebration BBQ this last Sunday.

There’s so much goodness in gathering around the table with the people God has placed around us, and we’re grateful for every person who makes City Central feel like home.

As summer comes to a close, we’re looking forward to everything God has for our church family in this new season. We’re so glad we get to walk into it together.

Freedom is just too accessible not to pursue.

Sometimes I think we see someone else walking in freedom, confident in who God made them to be, using their gifts, experiencing His goodness, and we quietly assume they must have access to something we don’t.

But that’s just not who our God is.

He doesn’t play favorites. He isn’t holding out on you. The same God who brings freedom into someone else’s story is inviting you into greater freedom too.

There is so much He wants us to actually live in, not just know about. More alignment with who He says we are. More confidence in the gifts He’s placed in us. More room to receive His goodness and experience the abundance of life with Him.

And maybe it’s not as far away as we’ve made it feel.

Sometimes it starts with simply saying yes to the invitation in front of us.

Sometimes your yes to God looks like bold faith. Sometimes it simply looks like getting up and showing up.

That was the reminder from last Sunday: Jesus isn’t waiting for us to have endless strength. He sees the weak yes. The tired yes. The “I don’t have much, but I’m still here” yes.

And sometimes, coming to church on Sunday is exactly that kind of yes.

Come worship. Come be with the body. Come make room for the Lord to meet you right where you are. You don’t have to arrive with everything together. Just come with the yes you have.

We can’t wait to see you Sunday.

What if some of the greatest treasures you’re storing up in heaven are being built through the smallest yeses you’re giving God right now?

The prayer you prayed even when you felt distracted. The person you chose to serve. The moment you forgave. The time you showed up tired. The quiet act of obedience nobody noticed but Him.

“Store up for yourselves treasures in heaven… For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:20–21

Not every yes will feel strong. Not every yes will be seen. Not every yes will feel significant in the moment. But faithfulness has a way of compounding.

One weak yes becomes another. And another. Until, little by little, we’ve built a life that keeps choosing Jesus.

So let’s celebrate the yeses this week, especially the small ones.
