當我們正開心地準備食物和幸福地與家人在感恩節相聚的同時，地球的另一端-香港正面對一件震驚世界的住宅區火警事件。 在我們細細數算上帝給我們的每一個恩典時，我們也正在為這些香港災民心碎。 今天懇請每一位弟兄姊妹在像上帝獻上感謝時，也能為香港的這些災民懇求上帝的憐憫和恩典，讓災難降到最低程度、讓死傷和失蹤的人數不要再增加，讓呼求祢的人知道祢正與他們同在。

帖撒羅尼迦前書5:18說-凡事謝恩；因為這是神在基督耶穌裡向你們所定的旨意。

As we joyfully prepare food and happily gather with family for Thanksgiving, on the other side of the world—Hong Kong—is facing a residential fire that has shocked the world. While we carefully count every blessing God has given us, we are also heartbroken for the victims of this disaster in Hong Kong. Today, we earnestly request that every brother and sister, as you give thanks to God, also pray for God's mercy and grace for these victims in Hong Kong, so that the disaster may be minimized and the number of dead, injured, and missing may not increase further, and let those who call upon You know that You are with them.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

上帝是回應我們問題和需求的神！ 祂藉著雷牧師2週前的講道回答我們關於事奉的掙扎、困惑和害怕。 上帝重申祂必預備我們來為祂做工；主為我們預備所需的知識、教育、技能和幫助我們一點一點的做好心理準備。 我們只需要信靠和順服，就像大衛王一樣！ 上帝怎麼預備大衛來做以色列的王？ 上帝利用牧羊來準備大衛的領導能力、利用荒野來訓練大衛的勇氣、利用進到掃羅身邊來幫助大衛熟悉王的日常生活和所需承擔的重責大任…等等，一點一滴都是為了將來大衛要成為以色列王而成的鋪路。 大衛自己有做什麼嗎？ 有的！ 大衛做到了信靠、順服和敬虔地跟隨上帝的旨意。

如果你跟我一樣對上帝的呼召有疑惑、有掙扎、有自覺的不足的話，讓我們一起努力地信靠和順服、一起努力地緊緊跟隨主吧！

God is the God who responds to our questions and needs! Through Pastor Louie's sermon two weeks ago, He answered our struggles, confusion and fears about service. God reiterated that He will prepare us to work for Him; the Lord provides us with the necessary knowledge, education, skills and helps us prepare ourselves mentally step by step. We only need to trust and obey, just like King David! How did God prepare David to be King of Israel? God used shepherding to prepare David's leadership abilities, the wilderness to train David's courage, and going to Saul's side to help David familiarize himself with the daily life of a king and the heavy responsibilities he would bear…every little thing was paving the way for David to become King of Israel. Did David himself do anything? Yes! David trusted, obeyed, and devoutly followed God's will.

If you, like me, have doubts, struggles, and a sense of inadequacy regarding God's calling, let us strive together to trust and obey, and strive together to follow the Lord closely!

今天在廣播上聽到一段深觸我心的話: 上帝呼召我們為祂做工時，早已看透我們的長處、我們的短處、我們的每一方面。即使天父明白我們會有許多掙扎、許多抗拒、許多失敗，但是祂仍選擇我們去事奉。 這個世界上有哪一位父母可以無條件的接受孩子的每一個優點、每一個缺點、每一次的叛逆和每一次的失敗？ 而我們的天父全盤照收還給我們一次又一次的機會認錯悔改！

你正在抗拒或是延遲上帝要你去做的事工嗎？ 有想過也許我們抗拒的方式和心其實也是神看中我們的其中一個優點？

I heard something on the radio today that deeply touched my heart: When God calls us to work for Him, He already sees our strengths, our weaknesses, every aspect of us. Even though our Heavenly Father understands that we will have many struggles, resistances, and failures, He still chooses us to serve. What parent in this world can unconditionally accept their child's every strength, every weakness, every rebellion, and every failure? But our Heavenly Father accepts EVERYTHING about us and gives us repeated opportunities to confess and repent!

Are you resisting or delaying the ministry God wants you to do? Have you ever considered that perhaps the way we resist and the heart we hold onto are actually one of the strengths God sees in us?

過去這幾週在我們的社會中發生好多邪惡的事、讓人心碎的事，不過我們也藉此看見神在做工。 這個主日，我們感受到聖靈的動工，帶領許多弟兄姊妹回到耶穌的聖殿裡與我們一起敬拜讚美上帝、一起聆聽神藉雷牧師的口要我們領受的真理。

追隨耶穌是一輩子的事！ 不管是在順境還是在逆境，耶穌都與我們同在！

Over the past few weeks, our society has experienced many evil and heartbreaking events, but we have also seen God at work through these tragedies. This Sunday, we felt the works of Holy Spirit, leading many brothers and sisters back to the church of Jesus to worship and praise God with us, and to listen to the truth God wants us to receive through Pastor Louie’s mouth.

Following Jesus is a lifelong journey! In good times and bad, Jesus is with us!

感謝神，讓今天(9月13日)天氣晴朗，讓我們有機會參加在塔科馬華人和解公園舉行的中秋節慶祝活動。感謝神賜給我們這次外宣活動，讓我們有機會透過手工和聊天來傳福音。

Praise God that we have a wonderful weather and opportunity to participate in this moon festival at Tacoma Chinese Reconciliation Park today (9/13 1 - 6 pm). Thanks God for this outreach and allow us to spread gospel with some crafts and time to chat.

今天，我們一起記念2001/9/11發生的恐怖攻擊、緬懷所有在這攻擊裡失去的生命。 24年後的世界，恐怖攻擊不減反增。 在面對這邪惡的世界，我們能做的其中一件事就像葛培理牧師所說過的，我們必須堅信和接受上帝掌管一切、在所有的難處/困境/攻擊…裡，祂是愛世人的神、祂是憐憫和慈愛的神。

Today, we commemorate the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and remember all the lives lost in this tragedy. 24 years later, we have more terrorist attacks in this world, not less. One thing we can do when we face this evil world, as Pastor Billy Graham once said, is to firmly believe and accept that God is in control of everything. In every difficulty, predicament or attack, He is a God of love, mercy, and compassion.
