Still producing! Unfortunately our tomatoes got the “ick”. We are trying to rescue as many as we can but we definitely don’t have the crop we were hoping for. This, along with 16 quarts of tomato sauce (thank you Mary Gardner!) got delivered Tuesday. Season is winding down but still plenty of green, yellow, and jalapeno peppers out there folks!

✨QUIET CHAMPIONS ✨

Our vegetable garden is in full swing! It takes A LOT of work to keep that plot of dirt manageable and harvested. Enter our Quiet Champions.

There’s a number of them. From our church there is Don and Janet Loch, Mary Gardner, Zack Wertz, and Laurie Saunders. These people have planted, ran rototillers, watered, and weeded. And there has been just as many people not from our congregation that have helped pick. We are so proud that our produce not only feeds us, but downtown Salem Lutheran, and a new partner, Peoples Pantry of North West Ohio.

Please, go out to the garden, take a look, pick some vegetables, and thank God for all the Quiet Champions that made it happen.
