Today our Children’s Sunday School learned about the story of Elijah’s faithfulness and how God always provides. 🥖🔥

“For this is what the Lord God of Israel says, ‘The flour jar will not become empty and the oil jug will not run dry until the day the Lord sends rain on the surface of the land.’”

Dear Swanton Church of the Nazarene Family,

We are planning to have church this Sunday as scheduled, unless a Snow Emergency Level 2 is declared. If a Level 2 Snow Emergency is issued, services will be canceled.

That said, we encourage each family to use their best discernment when deciding whether or not to travel. Your safety is very important to us, and we fully understand if road conditions make it unsafe for you to attend.

Please stay tuned for any updates, and thank you for your understanding

We are so happy to welcome our new Pastor and his family into our church! ✝️⛪️

We’re excited to share that Stephen Howlett has accepted the call to serve as Lead Pastor at Swanton Church of the Nazarene, beginning January 11, 2026.

Stephen comes to us from the Wesleyan Church, where he has served for the past twelve years in two different churches. Most recently, he served at The River Church in Marion, Indiana, as Administrative Pastor and a member of the Executive Leadership Team. In that role, he helped guide the church’s mission and vision, supported ministry leaders, and strengthened organizational health.

Stephen earned his Bachelor of Christian Ministry from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2013 and is ordained in the Wesleyan Church. As he begins his ministry at Swanton, he will enter a process to have those credentials recognized in the Church of the Nazarene.

Stephen is passionate about creating spiritual growth pathways that make disciples, leading worship, and church planting. He is also a gifted administrator.

Stephen and his wife, Casey, have been married for fourteen years and are the parents of Avery, their daughter, and sons Judah and Boaz, who are a constant source of joy and grounding in their family life.

We’re grateful to welcome the Howlett family to Northwestern Ohio and the NWO Team. Please join us in praying for God’s favor as they transition to the Swanton community and begin this new season of ministry!

Genesis 9:12-17: “God establishes a covenant with Noah and all living creatures, with the rainbow as its sign, promising never to destroy all life with a flood again.”
