Monday, September 7, 2026, the Sutherland United Methodist church will be having their annual Labor Day Dinner of Creamed Turkey over Biscuits or Tavern and chips along with pie and ice cream. Ages 5 and under are free and ages 6 and up are $10 per person.

What an inspiring week at the 2026 Iowa Annual Conference, held from June 11 to 14! United Methodists gathered in West Des Moines under the theme “Connected in Vision” to worship and celebrate our ministries. Highlights of the conference included the election of General Conference delegates, discussions on clergy appointments and the ordination of elders, and the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Women at the Well ministry. Our minister, Pastor John Wesley Shungu, led part of the legislative section. We are called to love boldly, serve joyfully, and lead courageously.
