🍪 June Drink Spotlight: Homemade Cookie 🍪

If you know Terran, you know there’s one food that will win her over every single time: a warm, chewy chocolate chip cookie. And not just any cookie—her mama’s homemade recipe. 🤎

There’s just something about that fresh-from-the-oven, salty-sweet goodness that feels like home.

That’s exactly the inspiration behind our Homemade Cookie drink special this month! It brings together those classic cookie flavors in a smooth, comforting drink that’s sweet, a little salty, and full of nostalgia.

Whether you’re a cookie lover or just looking to try something new, this June special is worth a taste. Stop in and see if it reminds you of your favorite homemade cookie, too. 🍪✨

✨A Moment of Truth — The Ministry of a Cup

Most of us don’t remember every sermon we’ve heard, every song we’ve sung, or every conversation we’ve had. But we often remember how someone made us feel.

A warm smile.
A kind greeting.
A cup of coffee placed in our hands.

It may seem small, but throughout Scripture, God often works through simple acts of hospitality. A meal shared, a table opened, a drink offered, a stranger welcomed. These ordinary moments become opportunities for extraordinary grace.

Before worship begins, before the message is preached, and before the first note is sung, ministry is already happening. It happens in hallways, around tables, and over steaming cups of coffee. It happens when people feel seen, welcomed, and valued.

Never underestimate what God can do through a simple act of kindness. A cup of coffee may warm someone’s hands, but a loving welcome can warm a weary heart.

“Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.” — Romans 15:7

May we serve every cup with joy, every conversation with grace, and every person with the love of Christ. ☕

We’d love for you to join us in worship this month! Holy Grounds Coffee Ministry serves before each of our worship services at 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM. 🤎

✨A Moment of Truth—
The Cup Is Already Full—We Just Keep Forgetting

Most mornings, we don’t drink coffee because we’re empty.
We drink it because we’re trying to catch up to our lives.

But here’s something we rarely notice: the cup itself doesn’t panic about being poured into.

It just receives.

No resistance. No analysis. No hesitation about whether it deserves what’s being given.

“From His fullness we have all received grace upon grace.” — John 1:16

We tend to live like we’re constantly running on empty, trying to earn what God is already offering.
But what if the issue isn’t that we’re empty… what if it’s that we’ve just learned to overlook what’s already been poured in?

Grace isn’t usually missing.
It’s often just unnoticed.

Like a full cup sitting on the counter while we’re still searching for something to fill it.

Maybe today isn’t about getting more from God.
Maybe it’s about realizing what’s already been given—and finally receiving it like it’s true.

WORD TO FOCUS ON THIS WEEK:
Receive

Let me pray over you, friend...
Lord, slow us down enough to notice what You’ve already placed in our lives. Help us receive Your grace without striving, and rest in what You’ve already provided. We love you, it's in Your name that we pray, Amen.

✨A Moment of Truth —
After the storms, the clouds always seem to linger a little longer. The roads stay wet. The sky stays gray. And sometimes our hearts do too.

But one thing I’ve learned about God is this: He does some of His gentlest work in the middle of gloomy weather.

Not every blessing arrives like sunshine breaking through the clouds. Sometimes it comes quietly — in the breath you took this morning, the strength to keep going, the kindness of a stranger, the warmth of a cup of coffee shared in community.

The rain last night may have shaken windows and interrupted sleep, but it also watered the ground for new growth we cannot yet see.

Maybe this Monday feels heavy already.
Maybe you’re walking into another busy week tired, uncertain, or carrying things nobody else notices.

Still, God remains faithful.

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.” — Lamentations 3:22-23

New every morning.
Even this one.

So today, before you rush ahead, take one slow breath. Let the coffee warm your hands. Let grace soften your heart. And remember: You do not have to carry this week alone.

There is still light behind the clouds. ☀️🤍

WORD TO FOCUS ON THIS WEEK: Steadfast

NEW MAY SPECIAL: The “Payday” ☕🥜🤎

Salted caramel + toasted marshmallow + classic hazelnut = basically a hug in a cup.

And honestly… the name “Payday” feels fitting for this season of life 😅 Because sometimes the little things really do feel like a reward:

• Getting the laundry folded the same day
• Drinking your coffee while it’s still hot
• Kids actually sleeping through the night
• Finding five minutes of peace in the chaos
• Making it through the week 😂

Life can feel busy, heavy, and nonstop sometimes — but don’t forget to thank God for the small joys too. Those little moments of laughter, rest, encouragement, and connection? They matter more than we realize.

This month, let this drink be your reminder to slow down a little, smile more, encourage someone, and enjoy the simple blessings God places in front of us every single day. 🤍

Come grab a “Payday” at Holy Grounds this month — you’ve earned it 😉

May always feels like a bit of a shift—lighter mornings, fuller schedules, and a quiet reminder that life keeps moving forward. In the middle of that, it’s easy to rush past the small moments where God is still speaking.

As we launch our May specials, we’re highlighting a drink called Mayberry Fusion—a simple blend that brings together different flavors into something smooth and refreshing.

There’s something grounding about that idea.

Not everything in life is separate or neatly sorted. Often, joy and struggle sit side by side. Peace and uncertainty can share the same season. Yet God has a way of bringing what feels scattered into something held together with purpose.

“He has made everything beautiful in its time.” — Ecclesiastes 3:11

You don’t have to have everything figured out to experience His goodness today. Sometimes it’s found in the middle of the ordinary—through a conversation, a moment of rest, or even something as simple as pausing long enough to notice.

As we step into May, may you be reminded that God is steady, even when life feels layered or busy. He is present in it all, gently working things together in His time.

We’d love to see you this Sunday at 9am or 10:30am for worship.

✨ A Moment of Truth — “A Pick-Me-Up That Lasts”

We all have moments where we feel drained—like we need something to help us reset, refocus, and keep going. A tasty drink or one more cup of coffee can help for a bit, but it doesn’t reach the deeper places where we really need strength.

God offers something more steady and lasting.

Psalm 34:8 says, “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.”

There’s an invitation here—not just to know about God, but to experience Him personally. To come to Him in the middle of real life and find something good, steady, and life-giving.

So as you enjoy your “pick-me-up” today, let it point you to the greater one: a God who refreshes more than just your body—He renews your heart.
