Dear Friends of the North West Valley Corps,
Happy First Sunday of the New Year. As I sit in my office writing this morning it is eerie quiet in this Corps Building. For the most part, I would say, we were able to get the word out last night of the cancellation of our Sunday Services due to the Black Flow failure after the re-piping was completed late afternoon. We did have a few, just show up but totally understand the news.
Anyway, I pray you are taking time to be with the Lord in a much different way today then we all had expected.
Having said that, I would like to just share some of my thoughts that I was planning to share with you all this morning.
Galatians 6:9-10 NIV:
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Vs10, Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
In the Message Bible it puts it this way:
So, let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit.
Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith.
As we face the new year even with complications and interruptions, I want to challenge each of you to find ways to doing more good in your life, in your community and even among our church family. This doesn’t have to be huge undertakings, unless the Spirit of the Lord has placed that upon your heart and has equipped you to complete that task. Instead, I want to challenge you to become a Game Changer in 2026. This came to me as I was watching the Cotton Bowl this past week when a Miami University Defensive Player stepped up, at just the right time to intercept the football and to return it for a touchdown. His actions was a game changer that left the Ohio State players to never recover from it.
My prayer for you, is to be available, doing the right thing as God has called you too, and step up at just the right time, to become a Game Changer. In doing so, you will allow God to use you in a mighty way in 2026.
In the meantime, continue to show up and be a blessing to those here in this Corps; and those outside of these walls.
Thank you for what you have done in 2025 in coming alongside of the different Officers assigned here to continue to build the Kingdom of God.
God’s richest blessing.
