Supervised Nursery Care: for infants through age 4. Free play. (Next week they will get to watch "The Great Lollipop Adventure".)

Zoinks! Join us on Saturday, June 20th from 6-9 p.m. for a Scooby Doo themed evening. There will be activities to entertain both younger and older children. Coming up in class this week, May 17th. This is the last class of the official RE season. Next week we will move to our summer program. (supervised childcare is still provided.):

Age 3 - 1st grade: The Gift of Learning Together
Children will take turns teaching each other new skills. Afterwards, they will hear the story, “The Rooster Who Learned to Crow.”

2nd-6th Grade: Love and Help- The 7 Principles
The Unitarian Universalist seven principles, the precursor to our current shared values, are a moral guide of deeply held values that you can take out into the real world and put into use. Today children will examine the 7th principle, the UU 6 sources, and the flaming chalice.

Grades 7th & Up: Crossing Paths- Our students will take a look back and reflect over the five major religions that we learned about: Unitarian Universalism, Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, and Paganism.

Summer Program
Our summer schedule will begin on May 24th. All children and youth (ages five and up) who wish to participate will be in a supervised, all-age, combined class. Children and youth who would rather stay with their parents are welcome to attend the service. Supervised nursery care will still be available throughout the summer for infants and toddlers through age four. Lesson-based religious education will return in September.

Coming up in class this week, May 10th:

Age 3 - 1st grade: The Gift of Acceptance
Children will explore values of acceptance and welcome. They will hear the story, “The Brementown Musicians” and then roleplay as different animals making music together.

2nd-6th Grade: Love and Help- The 7 Principles
The Unitarian Universalist seven principles, the precursor to our current shared values, are a moral guide of deeply held values that you can take out into the real world and put into use. Today children will examine principles 4-6.

Grades 7th & Up: Crossing Paths- This is our last lesson of our unit on Paganism. Youth will learn about blessings and then interview their co-leaders.

Age 3 - 1st grade: The Gift of Stewardship
Children will explore different ways to be a good steward. They will hear the story, “The Most Generous Gift” and then create art to make their classroom space more beautiful.

2nd-6th Grade: Love and Help- The 7 Principles
The Unitarian Universalist seven principles, the precursor to our current shared values, are a moral guide of deeply held values that you can take out into the real world and put into use. Today children will examine principles 1-3.

Grades 7th & Up: Crossing Paths- This week youth will explore the Pagan Wheel of the Year.
