Youth Apple Butter Project
Our youth will be making homemade apple butter to sell at our Fall Festival in October, and we will also be taking advance orders soon!
We plan to make two kettles of apple butter, with approximately 150 jars available to sell. Most of our youth have never had the opportunity to make apple butter before, so this will be more than just a fundraiser. It will be a chance for them to learn an old-fashioned tradition, work together, and enjoy a day of fellowship.
We need your help gathering supplies!
To make our two kettles, we will need donations of:
80 lbs. of sugar
31 gallons of applesauce
Approximately 100 canning jars
Lids and rings for 160 jars
Any donations toward these supplies would be greatly appreciated and will help make this experience possible for our youth.
