Suquamish United Church of Christ

Suquamish United Church of Christ An Open and Affirming progressive community of faith in the Christian tradition We invite you to explore the many ways that God is still speaking today.

We are an open and affirming spiritual community in the Christian tradition — a progressive church committed to theological exploration and service to others. God's love embraces all people, and we welcome all who wish to join us in worship and participation in church life. We are open and affirming to members of groups that continue to suffer injustice for reasons including sexual orientation, ra

ce, gender, gender identity and expression, ethnic background, age, marital status, physical ability, and developmental differences. We believe in compassionate service to our community and the world and in deepening our inner connection with the Divine as our guide. Worship services are offered in-person as well as online (Zoom and Facebook). You are welcome to attend in person if you have documentation of vaccination. Masks are required, and we ask that you be considerate of others by social distancing. Children are always welcome, even though they may be too young to be vaccinated or to wear a mask. We’ve made significant investments in our HVAC system to improve indoor air quality and help keep you safe in our building, including improved air filtration, UV disinfection, and exchange of indoor and outdoor air.

Today members from our church participated in the Suquamish Tribe’s event to remember Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women and People (MMIWP). Native women experience violence and go missing at rates that far exceed the national average, and for too long this has been ignored.
We were moved by this event today and will continue to educate ourselves on the issue and advocate for better solutions.
