~Message from the Berea Health & Temperance Ministry~

Greetings,

As many of you are aware, there is an outbreak of Measles in South Carolina. The virus first presented in the Upstate; however, this week, there was a positive case of Measles identified in a child in the city of Sumter.

The primary desire of the Berea Health & Temperance Ministry is to empower our church family with knowledge because "Knowledge is Power!"

Please find attached two flyers that will educate you on the Signs & Symptoms of Measles and when you need to seek medical treatment.

The best way to protect yourself against Measles is to receive the Measles, Mumps & Rubella Vaccine (MMR). If you have received the MMR Vaccine and you are concerned that your vaccination status may not protect you against Measles, please consult with your Primary Care Doctor for MMR Screening to determine whether you need a Booster shot.

Remember, our number one goal is to bring Awareness, not Anxiety.
