STATEMENT: We can’t just say we’re fighting back against the Trump administration when this is allowed to happen on New Jersey soil. We need to use every bit of leverage and power we have until these abuses stop. That means visiting Delaney Hall, directing the to investigate, and doing whatever it takes to shut it down. New Jersey voted to ban private immigration detention centers before, and we owe it to our neighbors inside to find a way to honor that intention.

UU FaithAction NJ spotlight on The Rachel Maddow Show ! Thanks to all the volunteers who showed up for this protest and the spread the word about the proposed facility. We made great progress this week in DELAYING the construction of the facility, but the fight won't be over until we've shut it down completely. Huge shout out to Sussex Visibility Brigade and our friends at Project NINJA (No Ice in New Jersey Alliance).

✊🏾 Advocate for bond hearings and fight prolonged detention
✊🏾 Use legal tools to challenge unjust systems that cage human beings
