A HUGE thank-you to everyone who serves at Village View.

You may think you’re just holding a door, teaching a kid, running a camera, making coffee, playing a song, or setting up a room.

But heaven sees it differently.
You’re helping people meet Jesus.
You’re helping families find a home.
You’re helping the next generation build faith.
You’re making a difference.

Church doesn’t happen because a few people do everything. It happens because a whole lot of people decide, “I’ll do my part.”

Today at The King’s Academy at Village View, our students had the opportunity to learn how to properly fold the American flag.
It was a simple but meaningful lesson in respect, honor, and gratitude for the men and women who have served and sacrificed for our freedom.
🇺🇸 We’re thankful for opportunities like this to help teach the next generation what it means to honor well.

𝗤: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿?
A: This past spring I decided to coach soccer. I was disappointed in how my youngest son's coach was lacking in training the team and their lack of attentiveness. So I decided to volunteer and coach U7. Once I was around the children, and saw what they were learning from me, I found it inspiring. I loved being able to teach them, and seeing in person, the way they were growing with confidence in each game they played. This inspired me to work in education.

𝗤: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗷𝗼𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗱𝗮𝘆?
A: Seeing the children who start with a rough morning start to slowly get happier. I love to see the "frowns turn upside down."

𝗤: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂?
A: I played tuba/sousaphone for 7 years, first chair for several years and alternate drum major for 1 year. I was also in chorus for 6 years, and leader of the altos for 1 year.

𝗤: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱?
A: Steak tacos or tamales with red salsa.

𝗤: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆?
A: The atmosphere! I really love how positive and helpful everyone is. I also love how we all have one goal: knowledge in both education and the Bible (I especially love that the subject of history is the Bible).

𝗤: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗯𝗯𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹?
A: Playing soccer. I play on a co-ed soccer league.

𝗤: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀?
A: I plan to climb Mount Everest, learn how to sew, and open my own alterations shop!

This morning at The King’s Academy, our students didn’t just sit in another assembly.
They worshiped, heard the Word they prayed and they were reminded that Jesus is not just part of their education, He is the foundation of it.

We’re preparing a generation to know truth, stand for truth, and follow Jesus when the culture tells them to go another way.
