One of the most popular of medieval saints, St George was a martyr, dying for his Christian faith in the early years of the fourth century during the persecution initiated by the Emperor Diocletian.
The carillon celebrates St George’s Day with traditional English hymns today, including ”I Vow to Thee”, “Jerusalem” and the popular march “Land of Hope and Glory.” 🏴
Happy St. George’s Day to everyone celebrating.
