Only one life will soon be past, and only what is done for Christ will last.

We as believers need to live with urgency, not fear. Looking at Daniel, Hosea, Leviticus, and the signs unfolding in our day, we need to ask ourselves a sobering question: if the Lord’s return is nearer than we think, what should change in us right now?

Maybe there is someone we need to witness to. A sin we need to surrender. A priority we need to reorder. A door God has opened that we have been standing in front of, pausing.

Daniel understood the timeline and responded with prayer, fasting, confession, and obedience. May we do the same. The time to prepare is not later. The time to obey is now.

Jesus showed compassion to the hurting, taught humility to the proud, warned against empty excuses, and reminded us that true discipleship requires surrender.

In Luke 15, Christ also gave a powerful picture of God’s heart for the lost. Whether it was the lost sheep, the lost coin, or the prodigal son, there was great rejoicing when what was lost was found.

The message is clear: God is merciful, but we must respond. Don’t let pride, possessions, relationships, comfort, or excuses keep you from following Christ. Humble yourself, count the cost, and come to the Father while there is still time.

“For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.” — Luke 15:24 KJV

This sermon walks through these powerful lessons from the life of Christ and challenges us to consider what it truly means to follow Him. Watch the sermon here:
