Today we pause to honor the beauty of honest work. The hands that build, the minds that create, the hearts that serve. Every act of labor, seen and unseen, matters to God.

Colossians 3:23 reminds us, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters."

So whether you are clocking in today or catching a well earned rest, know this. Your work is not unnoticed.

Change is coming. It always is. The question is not whether change will find us, but whether our hearts are ready for what God wants to do through it.

This Sunday, we are exploring what it means to be Getting Ready for Change. Through 2 Corinthians 3:18 and John 1:15-17, we will see how God transforms us from the inside out. Not by our own striving, but by His grace upon grace.

If you are standing at the edge of something new, if life feels uncertain, or if your spirit is quietly asking for more, this message is for you.

Many of you have been worshiping with us, and it has been a joy to see your faces. Maybe you have been visiting for a few weeks. Maybe you have been sitting in the back and quietly taking it all in. We notice you, and we are so glad you are here.

Now we would love for you to take one simple step. Join us. Not just as a visitor, but as part of the family.

This Sunday, August 30, come with me right after the service. I will be there personally to walk you through what it means to become part of Stuart Congregational Church. No pressure. No awkwardness. Just a warm conversation and a clear path to belonging.

We will also continue The Problem of Pain series with Part 2, digging deeper into John 9. Last week we saw how suffering can reveal the work of God. This week, we will discover what happens when that healing and revelation begin to rattle the people around us.
