We are so excited to celebrate Thorn Grove Christian Church’s homecoming this year!

Homecoming is on September 20th and there will be a potluck- style lunch after church! Feel free to bring a side, drink, or a dessert 🙌

No matter if it will be your very first time or if you’ve been coming to Thorn Grove since you were born- you have a spot at this table (literally and figuratively 😉)

P.S. don’t forget that this upcoming Sunday is First Sundayyyyy whooo hooo, see you at 9:30am!

Well, everyone, it is somehow September….

WHICH MEANS: THIS SUNDAY IS FIRST SUNDAY 🙌🙌

First Sunday at Thorn Grove is where we all get together at 9:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall to do exactly that; fellowship. Some weeks, we have a full breakfast spread and other weeks we’ll have donuts, but every single week we have coffee, tea, and great conversations!

Everyone is welcome to First Sunday and we hope to see you there this week 🙌☕️🍩🥣

LETS GO, SMOKIES 🐻💙⚾️❤️

Thorn Grove is going to Smoky’s Stadium for a baseball game at 2 PM on September 6th! Tickets will be $12, but you have sign up before 9/3! Sign ups are available in person at church but contact Maddie if you are unable to sign up in person and still want to attend!

We cannot wait! 🙌

This past Sunday at Thorn Grove, we introduced our current teaching series: “Two Beautiful Daughters.” You are invited to join us for a week two of the series this Sunday!

This past Saturday, Thorn Grove was able to serve alongside 13 other churches in the area, all trying to be good neighbors! Together we were able to unload food trucks, organize and hand out food, give away clothing, and backpacks to families in East Knoxville 🙌

Let’s talk about Common Meal:

One thing we do at our gatherings at Thorn Grove is Common Meal or “communion” if you are more familiar with that language. We gather together in reflection, sometimes in celebration, sometimes in lament- at this table and lean into our Creator.

👉We believe that Jesus says that anyone can come to this table. You are more than welcome to participate in this or ask questions about it if this is new to you.

Our Sunday gathering will start at 10am and you are welcomed to learn, pray, worship, etc with us at that table!
