This week in Godly Play we celebrated Trinity Sunday. The children were invited to find things in the room that made them think of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

For the Father, they chose the Old Testament. For the Son, they brought pieces of the nativity story. The children found the Holy Spirit the easiest to connect with and their insights were beautiful:

“The Holy Spirit is always with us and is in everything.”

“The Holy Spirit is in me!”

“The Holy Spirit is in people I don’t know.”

Our kids' words hold a depth that often takes grown‑ups years to articulate. In their own way, they named the mystery of the Trinity: God before us, God alongside us, and God within us.

Celebration of New Ministry

This week's follow along with our children: We had beautiful Pentecost energy at Trinity Stoughton Sunday! Our kids led a red streamer procession, learned about the Holy Spirit, had individual creative time and wrapped it all up with a birthday celebration for the Church!

This week we noticed there is one red section on our calendar of the church year. Anticipation is building and the kids had fun wondering what the red could represent. 🔥 Miss Heather invited the kids to wear red to church next week, then we spent our work time decorating red steamer wands. These wands will make an appearance during Sunday's service, do you know when?🕊️

Wow! We netted $3,076 today at the E-recycling fundraiser. A big thanks to all who helped today and in the lead-up, and to all those who brought things to be recycled!
