Divine Mercy (official)

Divine Mercy (official) The Marian Fathers are the official promoters and guardians of the authentic Divine Mercy Message. Fr.

The Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary are a congregation of more than 500 priests and brothers in 17 countries around the world. We are recognized as the authorities on the authentic message of Divine Mercy. Saint John Paul II once told the Marian Congregation, “Be apostles of The Divine Mercy under the maternal and loving mantle of Mary Immaculate” (June 22, 1

993). Our goals include:

1) To provide a trusted resource for information on the authentic Divine Mercy message and devotion, and about St. Maria Faustina Kowalska ― a “saint for our times.”

2) To connect with people who hunger for the mercy of God and who seek healing through the Divine Mercy message, which has been called "the greatest grassroots movement in the history of the Church."

3) To share stories about people who are putting Mercy into practice in their daily lives. More background ...

As we celebrate Labor Day, we recognize the economic and social contributions of workers. Fr. Chris Alar’s teaching reminds us of the Christian meaning of work: labor is not only about productivity but about serving, loving, and honoring the gifts of the Creator. Work can become a path to sanctification when it is offered to God. As the Christian tradition says, ora et labora—pray and work.

Prayers:

“Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion — inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.”

“For the sake of His sorrowful passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world”

“Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.”

Fr. Chris Alar, MIC, addressed the viral controversy surrounding Pachamama and the narratives being circulated about Pope Francis and Pope Leo XIV. He strongly challenged what he described as a false and misleading narrative, warning that such claims can become calumny when they unjustly damage the reputation of the Holy Father and undermine papal authority.
Fr. Chris characterized these attacks as part of anti-Catholic propaganda and defended both Pope Francis and Pope Leo XIV against attempts to use the Pachamama controversy to discredit the papacy. His remarks emphasized the importance of rejecting sensational accusations, respecting the authority of the Holy Father, and seeking the truth rather than allowing misleading narratives to create division within the Catholic Church.

The Passion of the Christ Returns to the Big Screen September 10–17
The Marian Fathers invite you to return to the big screen for a powerful encounter with the Passion, Sacrifice, and Mercy of Jesus Christ through Mel Gibson’s acclaimed film, The Passion of the Christ, in theaters September 10–17.
This special re-release also includes an exclusive sneak peek at Gibson’s highly anticipated epic, The Resurrection of the Christ: Part One, coming to theaters May 6, 2027.

Through its powerful storytelling and deeply moving portrayal of Christ’s suffering, the film invites us to reflect more profoundly on the depth of God’s love and the boundless mercy Jesus offers to each of us.

The Marian Fathers encourage you to take this opportunity to have a personal encounter with Jesus Christ by witnessing His Passion and sacrifice on the big screen. As you watch, prayerfully enter into the mystery of His suffering and remember that every wound, every sacrifice, and every moment of His Passion was an expression of His merciful love for humanity.

Let this powerful film draw you closer to the heart of Jesus and His Divine Mercy.

The Debt of Charity: Loving Enough to Speak the Truth | Fr. Mark Baron, MIC

Debt is a word we hear often today, but there is another debt that should concern every Christian: the debt of charity—the call to will the good of another. Jesus teaches us to love even our enemies, and that love cannot always remain at a comfortable distance. Prayer is essential, but authentic charity may also require fraternal correction: having the courage to approach someone directly, with love and concern for their salvation, rather than simply talking about their faults to others. Sometimes love means entering difficult conversations and addressing what is wrong in a charitable way.
Fr. Mark invites us to ask the Lord for three graces: the grace to care, the grace to love, and the grace of humility. We need courage to have difficult conversations, but also humility to recognize when we are the ones who need correction—to listen, learn from our mistakes, and receive fraternal correction with an open heart. Mercy helps us both to speak and to hear the truth so that relationships can be healed and restored.
