Ascension Episcopal Church-Stillwater At Ascension Episcopal Church, we are free to ask life’s big questions as we follow the way of Jesus, supported by an affirming community of curious people.

We are an ancient church grounded in the earliest traditions of Christianity. We are a very new church responsive to the issues of today. In our worship we revere God in mystery, we listen for God in scripture, and we also laugh and share a handshake or hug with one another. We are a Christian church: a community that seeks to follow the Way of Jesus, the anointed one (Christ) foretold in Jewish s

criptures. Through him we see that God is love. Christ came into the world that we might have life abundantly and be restored to unity with God and reconciled with one another. We are also an Episcopal Church.

Happy feast day of the Ascension! Join us tonight at 7PM to celebrate our namesake feast with worship, prayer, and communion.

Almighty God, whose blessed Son our Savior Jesus Christ ascended far above all heavens that he might fill all things: Mercifully give us faith to perceive that, according to his promise, he abides with his Church on earth, even to the end of the ages; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, in glory everlasting. This Thursday, we are celebrating our 1️⃣8️⃣0️⃣th year as a worshipping community in Stillwater! Join us for a special service followed by a reception on the Feast of the Ascension, this Thursday (5/14), at 7 PM. We will also celebrate the 40th Anniversary of our Dobson pipe organ with guest organist Bill Chouinard.

Last Sunday, we celebrated youth being Confirmed in their faith (pictured here left to right: Bishop Loya, Ellie, Kaila, and Rev Rachel).

This coming Sunday (5/10), the celebration of our high school students continues as we recognize our upcoming high school graduates with the gifting of quilts at the 10 AM service. All are welcome to join us on this special day of celebration and thanksgiving!
