SPC Kids’ Cooking Camp:
- July 6 – July 10 (9:30 a.m. -11:30 a.m.)

Hey, kids! Have you ever wondered what it would have been like to live during Bible times? Bring your imaginations and watch historical events unfold as we become “Time Travelers” for a week of Kids’ Cooking Camp this summer.
Children in Grades K-4 are invited to join us in the Fellowship Hall for five mornings of fun. Each session will include a Bible story, a related craft, and a tasty cooking activity.
Space is limited, so invite a friend and be sure to register soon.
Help still Needed:
 Adult/teen volunteers are needed each day to assist with activities. Any amount of time that you could offer during the week would be greatly appreciated. Adults will need to have clearances.
 If you wish to make a monetary donation to the church to help cover the costs of materials, please note -“Cooking Camp” on your donation and place it in the offering plate.
-To register a child or to volunteer your time, please leave us a message which includes your contact information for Catherine Tschudy, Kim Laumann (see Photo Directory) or the church office 717-993-6278. Stay Cool :-)

Sometimes the path God leads us down looks nothing like what we had in mind.

We picture things happening a certain way.
A certain timeline.
A certain outcome.
A smoother road.

We imagine clarity.
Quick answers.
Straight paths.

But then life with God starts looking very different than what we expected.

The road becomes longer.
Steeper.
More uncertain.

And honestly, sometimes that can be difficult to understand.

Because when the journey feels hard, we naturally start asking questions.

“Lord… why this way?”
“Why the delay?”
“Why does it feel like everyone else is moving forward while I’m still climbing?”

But one thing I’m slowly learning is this:
easy does not always mean better.

Sometimes God leads us on the harder path because there are things He wants to grow in us that comfort never could.

Trust.
Dependence.
Perseverance.
Depth.

Sometimes the very places that feel slow, hidden, or uncomfortable become the places where our roots grow deepest.

And while we often focus on getting to the destination as quickly as possible, God cares deeply about who we are becoming along the way.

That does not mean the waiting feels easy.
It does not mean the questions disappear.
It does not mean the climb is painless.

But maybe the difficult road is not proof that God has abandoned you.

Maybe He is still leading you, even here.

Even in the uphill places.
Even in the silence.
Even in the stretching.

And maybe one day you’ll look back and realize the path you would have never chosen for yourself became the very place where God grew something beautiful.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” — Prov. 3:5
