I don't know what this week looked like for you.

But I know that somewhere in your circle, someone had a week that left a mark. And they're trying to figure out how to carry it.

There's a place to bring that this Sunday.

Send this to the person you've been thinking about lately.

Quick praise report. Where did you see God show up lately?

Honestly, the hardest part for most people isn't believing in God.

It's believing there's a community of people who will actually show up for them.

What would it take for you to believe that?

Most people believe sharing a meal can change a relationship.
(Jesus did it all the time)

Most Christians still aren't doing it.

The reasons why are all too relatable...

You've thought about inviting someone to eat.
And then you talked yourself out of it.
Maybe more than once.

Here's the thing: most of us aren't opposed to the idea of sharing a meal with someone.
We're just really good at finding reasons why right *now* won't work.

Excuse #1: "I don’t like having people in my home."
Maybe you've thought these things: "I'm not a great cook. My house isn't ready. I don't even have a real table."
Here's the truth: it's not about what you're eating or where you're eating it.
It's about who you're eating with.
Order pizza. Go to a restaurant. The presence is what counts.

Excuse #2: "I wouldn't know what to say."
Good news: you don't have to!
Instead of worrying about the right words, focus on asking good questions and actually listening to the answers.
Try these: Where did you grow up? What do you do for fun? What are your dreams?

Excuse #3: "I just don't have time."
This is the big one.
But think about it: you already eat two or three times a day. (That's 14 to 21 meals a week!)
You don't need to add something to your schedule. You just need to be intentional with what's already there.

All three of these excuses point to the same fear underneath them.
What if I do it wrong?
What if it's awkward?
What if it doesn't work?

Jesus ate with the "wrong people" at the "wrong tables" his entire ministry.
The crowd grumbled every time.
He didn't stop.

Because he wasn't trying to prove something. He was just being obedient when God gave him a nudge. And God worked through that obedience in ways that changed everything.
We're invited to do the same thing.

And here's the part that makes all of this possible:
Jesus didn't wait for people to clean up their lives before he showed up.
He showed up FIRST. And his presence changed everything.
That's grace. And now it flows through us.

This week, invite someone on your BLESS list to share a meal.
It doesn't have to be fancy. It doesn't have to go perfectly.
It just has to happen.
