There is no event in human history with a larger impact than the death and resurrection of Jesus. But why? Why do Christians keep this event so central to our faith? That's what we'll be talking about in today's episode.

Sometimes we yearn for God's justice to be poured out on the evils of the world.

Many Psalms wrestle with these emotions.
Consider some of the strong, violent language, from these verses in Ps 139:
19 If only you, God, would slay the wicked!
Away from me, you who are bloodthirsty!
20 They speak of you with evil intent;
your adversaries misuse your name.
21 Do I not hate those who hate you, Lord,
and abhor those who are in rebellion against you?
22 I have nothing but hatred for them;
I count them my enemies.

How do we understand these verses? How do they relate to the teachings of Jesus and Paul who tell us to love our enemies?

That's what we'll learn about on May 3rd!
Sunday at 10am

Today we look at the person of Jesus. Jesus reveals God to us more completely than any other prophet or writer can, and that has implications for how we understand the Bible and the teachings from Jesus. Join us as we explore the implications!

Do you feel like no one "gets you?"

In Psalm 139 David writes poetically about God's vast knowledge. Not only does God know everyTHING, God knows everyONE.

While that can be intimidating, it is also deeply comforting when you know who God is.

You are DEEPLY known and DEEPLY loved by God. Even when you are at your worst ❤️

Over the next few weeks we'll look at this Psalm and what it says about God.

In the words of David:
God Knows Me
God is With Me
God Made Me
I Stand with God

This Sunday there's a free meal after the service. All are welcome!

Service starts at 10am

Sometimes it's hard to get along with people who don't see the world like we do. Today our world has split and polarized along lines of beliefs and opinions and worldviews, and it is easy to belittle the "other side." But Jesus gives us a challenging teaching that mandates we do something different....

How do you get people to like you? Jesus wrestled with some similar challenges. What kind of Messiah will Jesus be? How will Jesus gain a following? That is one of the questions we ask as we explore the beginning of Jesus' ministry. (Stay tuned to the end and I share a 2nd idea about the symbolism o...
