A small reminder for the days when life feels heavier than it should.

In Orthodox tradition ☦️, the Holy Guardian Angel is not a sentimental idea. It is a reminder that we are not walking through this world alone.

There is protection we do not see.
There is mercy we do not always recognize.
There is help given quietly, faithfully, without spectacle.

That is part of why I love icons like this. They do not shout. They simply stand there — in a prayer corner, on a shelf, beside a candle — reminding us to return to prayer.

Especially for those who are new to Orthodoxy, curious about the Church, or slowly trying to build a small place of peace at home, an icon can become a quiet anchor.

Holy Guardian Angel, guide us, guard us, and pray to God for us.

Do you have an icon or prayer corner in your home yet, or are you still slowly building one?

If you've been in an Orthodox Lenten service, you've prayed it. You've bowed for it. You may have wept through it.

O Lord and Master of my life, take from me the spirit of sloth, despair, lust of power, and idle talk...

The Prayer of Saint Ephraim the Syrian is one of the most searching prayers in all of Orthodox Christianity. Short enough to memorize. Deep enough to spend a lifetime inside. Prayed on your knees, with prostrations, at every weekday Lenten service — asking God not for comfort, but for honesty. About yourself. About your sins. About your tendency to judge everyone around you while barely looking at your own soul.

Grant me to see my own sins, and not to judge my brother.
That line alone could change a person.

This 4×6 Lenten Prayer Card puts the full prayer — and its liturgical use — in your hands for Great Lent. Keep it in your prayer corner. Carry it to services. Give it to someone walking through their first Lent and not yet sure what any of this means.
It's a card. It's also an invitation to go lower.

Every Orthodox Christian has a patron saint. Most of them don't have an icon of that saint on their desk, in their bag, or in their hands when they pray.

That's what this is for.

The Custom Orthodox Icon Card lets you choose your saint — any saint — and receive a 4×6 card featuring their iconographic image, their Troparion, and a personal prayer of intention. Patron saint. Baptismal saint. A saint you've been drawn to. A saint you want to pray through for a specific need.

This is also one of the most meaningful gifts in the Orthodox world:
✦ Baptism or Chrismation gift
✦ Name day
✦ A friend going through illness, grief, or struggle
✦ A new convert still finding their footing
✦ Simply: I thought of you, and I thought of this saint, and I thought they should meet.

Something made specifically for one person, carrying the intercession of one saint. That's not a small thing.

Christ called him the greatest man ever born of woman.
Then He said the least in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than him.

John accepted that. Without argument. Without bitterness. "He must increase, and I must decrease." That was the whole of his theology — and he lived it so completely that he died for it, beheaded at the request of a dancing girl to settle a grudge at a dinner party.

Saint John the Forerunner was a prophet, an ascetic, the voice crying in the wilderness, the one who baptized God in the Jordan River with his own hands. He is venerated more than any saint in the Orthodox Church outside of the Theotokos herself — with six separate feast days across the liturgical year. He appears in nearly every iconostasis. He stands in the Deesis, interceding for the world alongside the Mother of God.

And he still points. Every icon of John points — to Christ. That was always the whole point.

This 4×6 icon card includes:
✦ A powerful iconographic image of Saint John the Forerunner
✦ His Troparion (Tone 2)
✦ A brief Life of the Saint
✦ The closing prayer: Holy Saint John the Forerunner, pray to God for us.

For your prayer corner, travel bag, wallet, or desk.

He was a soldier in the most powerful army on earth. When the emperor commanded him to renounce Christ, he refused — and endured torture that would have broken almost any man.
He didn't break.

Saint George the Great Martyr is one of the most recognized saints in the world — venerated across Orthodox, Catholic, and Anglican traditions, patron of soldiers, nations, and anyone facing a battle they aren't sure they can win. The dragon isn't just legend. It's the image of every force that tells you to bow, surrender, and abandon what is true.

He didn't bow.

This 4×6 icon card includes:
✦ The iconic image of Saint George slaying the dragon — one of the most striking images in all of Christian art
✦ His Troparion (Tone 4)
✦ A brief Life of the Saint
✦ The closing prayer: Holy Saint George, pray to God for us.

For your prayer corner, travel bag, wallet, or desk. A reminder that courage in the face of evil is not a myth — it's a calling.

He greeted everyone — every single person — with the words: "Christ is risen, my joy!"

Even in winter. Even strangers. Even his enemies.
Saint Seraphim of Sarov spent years in the forest of Russia, praying alone, sleeping on stone, fasting in near-silence. The Mother of God visited him. He healed the sick. He saw into souls. And when people finally came to him by the thousands, he met each one as though they were the only person on earth — with those same words, that same warmth, that same unshakeable joy.

He said the goal of the Christian life was the acquisition of the Holy Spirit. Everything else — fasting, prayer, almsgiving — was simply the means.

This 4×6 icon card includes:
✦ A luminous iconographic image of Saint Seraphim of Sarov
✦ His Troparion (Tone 4)
✦ A brief Life of the Saint
✦ The closing prayer: Holy Saint Seraphim of Sarov, pray to God for us.

For your prayer corner, travel bag, wallet, or desk. A reminder that the end of all spiritual striving is not discipline — it's joy.

He came to rob a monastery. He left a monk, a priest, and a martyr.
Saint Moses the Black was a former slave, gang leader, and violent man — who encountered the kindness of monks and was undone by it. He repented. He submitted. He became one of the greatest Desert Fathers of Egypt, leading seventy disciples in the way of humility and prayer.

When Berber raiders came to kill him, he refused to let his monks fight back. He walked out to meet them.

"Those who live by the sword shall perish by the sword," he said. He had lived by the sword long enough to know.
He was martyred at 75. His disciples survived.

This 4×6 icon card includes:
✦ A striking iconographic image of Saint Moses the Black
✦ His Troparion (Tone 1)
✦ A brief Life of the Saint
✦ The closing prayer: Holy Saint Moses the Black, pray to God for us.

For your prayer corner, travel bag, wallet, or desk. A reminder that God builds saints out of the most unlikely material — and calls each of us by name regardless of where we've been.

She spent 17 years in sin. Then 47 years in the desert, alone with God.

Saint Mary of Egypt is one of the most stunning examples of repentance in the history of the Church. Not gradual reform — total transformation. The Theotokos herself turned her back from the doors of the Holy Sepulchre, and Mary fled to the wilderness and never looked back.

She had nothing. She needed nothing. She was sustained by the Eucharist and sustained by grace.

This 4×6 icon card includes:
✦ A reverent iconographic image of Saint Mary
✦ Her Troparion (Tone 8)
✦ A brief Life of the Saint
✦ The closing prayer: Holy and Venerable Mother Mary of Egypt, pray to God for us.

For your prayer corner, travel bag, wallet, or desk. A reminder that no one — no one — is beyond the reach of God's mercy.
Her feast is April 1st. The Fifth Sunday of Great Lent is also dedicated to her memory. If you're walking through this Lenten season, she walks with you.
