Your mission, should you choose to accept it is to "Be holy because I [am] holy." (1 Peter 1: 16).

Nothing is impossible when you allow yourself to be filled with the Holy Spirit! Come, Holy Spirit, Come!

"As the Father has sent me, so I send you." And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit." (John 20: 21-23).

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, [...] And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age." ~Matthew 28:16-20

Jesus wants more for his apostles, and more for us. This is a necessary goodbye. Freud once said that "No one becomes a man until his father dies." Jesus wanted his apostles to have a mature faith where they don't see Him anymore but learn how to walk in Trust. For 3 years, they followed Jesus' lead, but now they needed to stand up with strength, to see others in need themselves, to care for others themselves, to not be told what to do, but rather to see it and do it themselves. We too are called to be mature children of our Father, to be and see and live like Jesus. This mission is not just about "me" but "we." Jesus never leaves us alone. He has sent His Spirit and is with us until the end of the age.

Bringing God to the world. 🙏🏻🌎🤲

Yesterday, the Cadott Police Department implemented a Chaplain Program in agreement with the Village churches. The approved Police Department Chaplains are:

-Pastor Robert Hopkins (St. John’s Lutheran Church)
-Father William Felix (St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church)
-Pastor Cheryl Miskimem (Cadott United Methodist Church).

So, what exactly is the purpose of implementing a Chaplain Program, you ask???

Chaplains are non-sworn staff members of the department and can be called on by PD staff to assist them and members of the public with the following (including, but not restricted to):

-Death notifications (natural, su***des, homicides, accidents)
-Providing pastoral care when requested
-Providing assistance to crime or accident victims and their families
-Assist alcoholics or drug addicts in obtaining services
-Directing persons in need of shelter, food, or medical services to an agency that can help
-Providing assistance to persons who are confused or emotionally upset or potential su***de victims
-Someone who simply wants to talk over their problems
-Assisting law enforcement or the people they come into contact with in any other function of their ministerial profession, as requested

The Chaplains are willing to donate their time to assist the community and the Police Department. We are grateful and proud for their partnership and assistance!

Yesterday, 14 of our students were sealed in the Holy Spirit in the gift of the Sacrament of Confirmation by Bishop Battersby.

The Bishop reminded them that they have been set apart, not to follow the crowd, but to follow the Lamb that was slain. He encouraged them to imitate Jesus always and to give Him away to others. May God continue to bless these young disciples!
