💛 A Heartfelt Thank You to Mt Calvary FWB Church💛
We want to extend our sincere thanks to Mt. Calvary Free Will Baptist Church in Spruce Pine for their incredible generosity.
During Vacation Bible School this summer, the boys and girls held their annual friendly competition to collect spare change. Each night, the change was weighed to see which team was in the lead, and the winners earned the chance to choose who would get a pie in the face! 🥧😄
This year, those children raised an amazing $750 and chose to donate it to HopeMill.
What makes this gift even more meaningful is that this church knows firsthand the devastation Hurricane Helene brought to our mountain communities. Even as they continue to face challenges from the storm, they chose to give back because they believe in HopeMill's mission.
Over the past two years, HopeMill has been honored to partner with Mt. Calvary in many ways, helping install a new playground after the original was destroyed by floodwaters, supporting several families within their congregation, partnering on Christmas toy drives, and serving their community together during recovery efforts.
To the children, church leaders, volunteers, and congregation, thank you for your generous hearts. Your gift is a beautiful reminder that even those who have been through so much continue to find ways to bless others.
