Many have asked us over the past few days what the brethren here need. This is a hard question for a few reasons:
1. Our lines of communication are broken, so it’s hard to speak to each other except to venture out on the roads and talk. This is somewhat dangerous, but also time-consuming. We have been going out and assessing, but it’s hard to have any semblance of organization right now.
2. Our needs are rapidly changing! The situation we were in Saturday and the situation today (Wednesday) are two very different worlds. Grocery stores and gas stations are starting to open in the area, and this is somewhat helping with our immediate needs.
3. God has been very good to us. As far as we know, no one has lost their house and damage to our homes has been minimal. We’re still assessing these things of course, but it seems like God has kept us from having major need. We also have received supplies from generous individuals. God is good and His people are good.
So, all of that is to say: If you or your church is looking to send aid to us, please know that we are so grateful for your generous hearts, and we are not saying we won’t need help down the road, but we currently don’t have any major needs.
