St. Dominic wishes to congratulate and welcome the newly baptized in Christ:

Theodore Reed Spaulding
Son of Will & Amber Spaulding
Baptized: Saturday, May 23, 2026
Godparents: Travis & Gretchen Gabehart

“God bless you on your baptism!"

Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit (vitae spiritualis ianua), and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism, we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church, and made sharers in her mission: "Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water and in the word." -Catechism of the Catholic Church

UPDATE DATE TO THE ORIGINAL INFO BELOW! Check your mailboxes; you should have your tithing packets for May/June. I've been told that they were mailed out on 5/15.

Just a reminder! We have heard from several parishioners who have not yet received their May/June tithing packets—thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have contacted the envelope company, and while they do have our information on file, they are currently experiencing mechanical issues that have delayed printing and put them way behind schedule. They anticipate that your packets will be mailed within the next couple of weeks, hopefully sooner rather than later. In the meantime, loose checks can be placed in the collection plate/basket. If you are tithing by cash, please feel free to use any envelope and simply include your name, the amount enclosed, and your envelope number, if you know it. Thank you for your patience and understanding as the envelope company works through this issue. -Sonya S., Office Manager, St. Dominic Catholic Church

A brief read, but a great read!

A brief read, but a great read!

Prayer isn’t a formula for getting quick answers from God.
It’s an invitation into relationship with Him.

Too often we treat prayer like a search engine:
“God, give me clarity.”
“Fix this.”
“Show me the plan.”

But Christianity isn’t about chasing answers… it’s about encountering Jesus.

Even when life feels confusing, silent, or uncertain, prayer reminds us:
God is still present.
God is still good.
God is still near.

“SEEK A RELATIONSHIP WHEN YOU PRAY, NOT ANSWERS. YOU WON’T ALWAYS FIND ANSWERS, BUT YOU WILL ALWAYS FIND JESUS.” — Fr. Mike Schmitz

The deepest purpose of prayer isn’t information.
It’s communion.
