𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐞𝐬

Fairy tales are full of heroes sweeping in to save the day, but really, we don’t need to look far away from our everyday life to see numerous everyday heroes quietly doing their thing. A true hero should encourage us to transform ourselves for the better.

As an artist and songwriter, I write songs of personal heroic journeys hoping to inspire an emotion in the listener. But each one of us is a creator, a storyteller, a memory keeper and our creations and actions go out into the world like dandelion seeds, touching people’s lives in ways we may never know about. How people remember us, hopefully with love, joy, and gratitude, will be an important part of our legacies.

We are truly blessed in our spiritual Community to have found fellow travelers on the path. I don't think anyone would argue that we are indeed an interesting bunch, with different viewpoints, perspectives, and at different points along the path.

But there is a synergy and a magic to our acceptance and our open hearts. We are global—including India and London—and we are spread across the United States, but we are all connected in our hearts. Join us Sunday as we look at community - ours, and the one Jesus was a part of and what the nature of spiritual community is.

There is a way we all viewed being patriotic when we had so many examples of the people in the military who had fought for our country, specifically in the World Wars. Views of patriotism began to get challenged as we looked at Vietnam. And now we live in a country that is polarized.

What does patriotism look like now?

Maybe patriotism at its root is service. Service to our country was easy to see when men and women were in the military and fought for our country at the risk of their lives. What does patriotism look like now for us? How can we serve? Join Mary Hansen Sunday at 10:30 as she explores these questions.

We can become focused on what seems to be happening right in front of us but there is a Spiritual Sight within us that knows and sees with a much larger Vision.

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫'𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲 - a day that holds a myriad of emotions for us - for some, the day is joyful, for some it awakens grief, longing, complicated memories, or absence.

I invite us this Sunday to come together and expand our understanding of motherhood beyond titles and roles. We honor the universal energy within humanity itself - the capacity to nurture, forgive, uplift, and create new life in the world around us.

The Artemis team spent several days orbiting the Earth and the Moon. They made it a point to share the wonder they experienced in their capsule they called "Integrity" as they held the earth from a different perspective.
