God is opening doors for gospel conversations in Lithuania!
Through Monday night evangelism in a local park, ENW missionaries Luke and Tanya McKinley and the team at Journey Church Vilnius are seeing meaningful connections grow as people gather to talk about life and faith.
Even more encouraging? Some are returning week after week to continue conversations and explore questions about Jesus.
Ask God to continue opening hearts in Lithuania and for these conversations to lead people into a personal relationship with Jesus.

From pumpkin muffins to conversations about Jesus, gospel seeds are being planted across Eurasia Northwest!

During SOW-tember, our teams looked for simple ways to serve, build relationships, and share the hope of Jesus. Here are a few more stories worth celebrating!

At a local Youth Center, one team spent time connecting with young people through fall painting and pumpkin muffins. These simple activities are continuing to open doors for meaningful relationships in their community.

Another worker prayed for an opportunity to invite someone new to the table. God answered through an unexpected visit from a home repair worker! What began as a routine appointment turned into more than an hour of conversation about the gospel and God's Word—with another opportunity to connect already on the calendar.

An ENW worker had the opportunity to share Jesus with a man from a Buddhist background and is praying that he and his family will personally encounter Christ.

This is the heart of SOW-tember. Ordinary moments become opportunities to share extraordinary hope when we're willing to listen, serve, and follow the Holy Spirit's leading.

One friendship can change a life.
Heidi Darrin, ENW missionary to Moldova, met Vlada after striking up a conversation in a coffee shop. Today, they still meet regularly to talk about life, faith, and the future.
At just 18 years old, Vlada is navigating the loss of her mother and asking big questions about life. Before every meeting, Heidi prays for wisdom, trusting God to work through each conversation.
Please pray for Vlada: that she would come to know the hope found in Jesus and for Heidi as she faithfully walks alongside young adults in Moldova.

Sometimes sowing a gospel seed begins with a simple act of compassion.
During SOW-tember, an ENW missionary couple was selling a few household items when they met a man preparing for his fifth neck surgery after nearly 27 years of pain from an injury during his military service.
What began as a simple transaction became an opportunity to show the love of Jesus.
After hearing his story, one of our missionaries offered to pray for him and his upcoming surgery. He graciously accepted and was visibly moved by the unexpected gesture of kindness.
Sometimes the most meaningful opportunities to share God's love happen when we simply take time to listen, care, and pray.

Join us in praying for this man as he prepares for surgery, and for more Spirit-led opportunities to sow seeds of the gospel through everyday encounters.

There is always reason to celebrate when someone publicly declares their faith in Jesus.
ICA Kyiv celebrated an incredible day as three believers stepped into the waters of baptism — two international students from Asia and one from Nigeria.
In a city that has endured so much, God continued to draw people from every nation to Himself. The Church remained steadfast, the gospel kept advancing, and lives were transformed through the power of Jesus.
Join us in praising God for these new believers and praying that He will continue to strengthen their faith as they follow Him and share His hope with others.

Recently, ENW missionary had the privilege of serving as a volunteer chaplain alongside the Ukrainian military, offering prayer, encouragement, and the hope of Christ to those affected by the war.
During one visit, the missionary prayed with a soldier recovering from his injuries near the front lines. In the midst of uncertainty and loss, moments like these are powerful reminders that God meets people where they are—and His presence brings hope even in the darkest places.
Please continue to pray for the people of Ukraine, for those serving on the front lines, and for the believers faithfully sharing the love of Jesus in the midst of ongoing conflict.

Sometimes ministry begins with something as simple as a conversation over coffee.
In Latvia, many people have little meaningful exposure to the gospel. Cafés and other everyday gathering places can become spaces where friendships form, spiritual conversations begin, and people encounter followers of Jesus.

As you enjoy your own cup of coffee today, let it be a reminder to pray for Latvia. ☕️ Pray for those who have never truly encountered Jesus—and for believers across Eurasia Northwest to have courage and wisdom as they build relationships and share their faith.

SOW-tember Update
Look for the opportunity. Sow the seed. Trust God with what comes next.
That’s what our teams across Eurasia Northwest have been practicing during SOW-tember—and we’re already hearing stories of gospel conversations growing out of everyday relationships.

One worker spent time with a new friend who had never opened a Bible before. After just a few conversations, she planned to join a gathering to read the Bible for the first time.

Another new friendship created an opportunity to sit down, share the gospel, and pray together before the young woman left to study abroad.

And in Estonia, a baptism celebration became an opportunity to welcome family and friends around the table. As everyone gathered to celebrate a new believer’s decision to follow Jesus, the team was able to share the good news with those who came.

This is why we sow. We may not know what God will do with each conversation, invitation, or act of kindness—but we can faithfully plant the seed. Pray for these new friendships and conversations, and for open hearts to the gospel across Eurasia Northwest.

🌱 SOW-tember Update
Our team has been looking for simple ways to serve the people God has placed around them—and we’re already celebrating the connections being made.

One family welcomed a neighbor into their home, served him dinner, and shared the gospel over tea and cookies. Another worker surprised a café employee with flowers and a birthday card that included an encouraging message about God. She later shared just how much those words meant to her.

Homemade cookies were delivered to a dog groomer with a simple reminder that God sees her and loves her. Another family celebrated neighbors preparing to welcome a new baby with a gift and card.

None of these acts were complicated. They simply required noticing someone, showing kindness, and being willing to point them toward Jesus.
Small seeds are being planted. Pray with us that God will continue to water them!

In Eurasia Northwest, the greatest obstacle isn't opposition — it's indifference. Decades of secularism have settled over Armenia, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, and Ukraine, leaving many people not hostile to the gospel, just indifferent to it.

Less than 2% of this region identifies as evangelical Christian. It's not that the message hasn't been heard — it's that it's been heard and shrugged off, drowned out by a culture that has largely stopped asking spiritual questions at all.

Pray for hearts to be awakened across Eurasia Northwest, and for global workers serving there to build meaningful relationships and spread the hope of Jesus.
