Heads up, Ebbert friends! There will be no worship service here at Ebbert on Sunday, September 6.

Instead, we’ll worship together with our sisters and brothers from Wesley UMC and First UMC Eugene at Wesley’s building, 1385 Oakway Rd. in Eugene, at 10:00 am.

Rev. Warren Light will be preaching, and our own Amy Adams will lead us in music. We’ll be back home at Ebbert for worship on Sunday, September 13.

The service on September 6 will be a little taste of something special happening that same weekend: Wesley, First, and Ebbert are sending more than 100 folks to Suttle Lake for a Labor Day Weekend retreat filled with preaching, baptisms, fellowship, and revival!

Our joint worship service in Eugene will carry some of those same themes, so even if you’re not headed to the lake, you’ll still be part of this special weekend of worship and renewal.

Two places, one weekend, three congregations — and one God bringing us together. We’re excited! Please mark your calendars and keep this location change in mind Labor Day weekend.

The Springfield community has witnessed some horrendous violence this week, including a hit-and-run just blocks away from the church that claimed the life of a beloved neighbor and left his dear wife critically injured. We wait, heartbroken, for the name of the victim of the stabbing at Gateway.

God of mercy, receive those who have died.
Surround those who mourn with your love.
Bring healing to those who are injured.
Give courage and wisdom to those seeking answers.
And make us, as your people, agents of peace, compassion, and care in our community.

We've got take-n-bake Willamette Valley Pie Co. pies at Wesley UMC (1385 Oakway in Eugene) today from 3 to 5 pm — cherry crumble, caramel apple, and marionberry. Grab a delicious pie for $20 and help us provide camperships for our joint Labor Day retreat :)

Just a heads up for AARP Tax Aide clients — there will be no Tax Aide services on Friday, April 3rd. The volunteers will be back in action on Tuesday, April 7th.
