Dear Heavenly Father, prayer is an amazing instrument You use to invite us into Your work, Your blessings, thanksgiving, and praise. As You involve us and concern us with many petitions and heartfelt cries, then answer specifically and deliberately to what we’ve laid at Your feet; we grow into a greater intimacy and knowledge of who You are and Your incomparably great power to us who believe. Lord, I pray we will be a people who praise as earnestly as we prayed. May we be known as a people who have spent time with You in private prayer, but also known for our sincere conversations with You in corporate prayer. There is great help and great encouragement knowing others are bowed before You and Your throne of grace, lifting our names up to Your ears in our time of need. May we not sin against You for failing to pray for one another. In Jesus’ Name, amen.

Dear Lord, thank You for faith; which comes from You, and is more precious than gold. We are saved by grace through faith, and without it? It is impossible to please You. May we be a people who value and cherish faith as much as You; increase our faith, Lord. May we acknowledge and celebrate when we see faith lived out, for this is more than reading Your Word and applying truth; even though faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God; the fruit and increase of Your Word planted in our hearts can only come from You. By this, we see and praise the indwelling work of Your Spirit, which gives testimony we are Yours, and You are ours. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Dear Lord, the enemy has done well in setting up imaginary offenses we easily fall prey to; help us to be like-minded and sympathetic, loving one another with compassion and humility; knowing You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in each of us. We are quick to say no one can judge us, only God, but how much more then should we behave ourselves for You know and search our hearts. We are not to repay evil with evil or insult with insult; on the contrary, we are to repay evil with blessing. Search our hearts, Lord; let no unwholesome talk come from us; not even in our thoughts, for out of an overflow of our hearts, the mouth speaks so teach us to immediately take these thoughts captive and not entertain them so they won’t take root. Lord, may we truly love You with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. You have been very gracious and dignifying towards us; help us to follow Your example with a clear conscience, so those who speak ill against us, may be ashamed of their slander, but oh Lord, may I be very mindful of the same. Forgive me, Lord, for when I have and do not. In Jesus’ Name, amen.

Dear Lord, we have a responsibility to nurture and grow our understanding in the principles of our faith. To whom much is given, much is required and You have been faithful to give biblically sound doctrine and godly examples we can learn from and follow. As we prove ourselves faithful in little things, more will be given so continue to raise up spiritual leaders in our church to teach, preach, and lead us into a greater knowledge of who You are. Lord, help us see the value in disciplining ourselves unto godliness; being a student of Your Word, devoting time to fasting and prayer, avoiding occasions for sin; and putting to death the lusts of our fallen nature. You are worthy to be known and to be made known; may we taste and see You are good and keep going back for more. We are a blessed and holy people lacking no good thing because of Your promises in this life and the one to come. Amen.

Dear Lord, in our weakness, we often run but in these times, You desire to show Yourself mighty. It is by Your grace we are saved through faith; and nothing of ourselves. We are Your workmanship; honorable vessels, sanctified to be of use to You, and prepared for every good work. What a great trust You have put in us. May we not hide from Your calling and our purpose because we feel inadequate; help us to be a people excited and full of faith because we know Your grace is sufficient and You have promised to never leave nor forsake us. Paul was given a thorn in his flesh so he would not become conceited; may we be humbled and knowledgeable of our weaknesses and also our desperate need of Your Presence and guidance. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
