Whether we want to admit it or not, we are all engaged in a deadly spiritual battle. So how do we prevail against Satan and his wicked forces?

Thankfully, God has given us everything we could possibly need to stand firm on the spiritual battlefield. He calls us to put on the full armor He has provided so that we can succeed—not only guarding our own souls, but helping our fellow soldiers, our brothers and sisters in Christ, stand firm together.

Are you doing all you can to stand against the wiles of Satan?

Satan is the leader of a wicked army that is constantly working to make us stumble and draw us away from God. The dangers may seem obvious, or they may come through ordinary things in our lives—what we choose to watch, the music we listen to, or even something seemingly good like the pursuit of financial success. Anything that captures our hearts and leads us away from faithfulness to God can become a spiritual danger.

So how do we stand against these attacks?

Every Sunday, we gather as a family in Christ to worship the true and living God and build one another up in faith. Together, we lift our voices in hymns, pray, dive into God's Word, and share in communion. Tomorrow, Jared Martin will be teaching us about "The Armor of God.”

Simply knowing God's Word is not enough. As we read in James 1, we must be doers of the Word and not hearers only. If we expect to develop a heart that can distinguish between good and evil, we must humbly and faithfully put God's truth into practice in our daily lives.

It begins with approaching God in humility and sincerely seeking to understand what He wants from us. Then, as we learn His will, we must choose to faithfully obey what He has revealed in His Word. A life of submission and obedience to God trains us to discern what is right and helps us grow in godly wisdom.

If you're in Northwest Arkansas and you're ready to seek God's forgiveness, send us a message. We would love to open God's Word with you and show you what the Bible says about being freed from sin.

There's no better time than now to receive God's forgiveness!

We can easily convince ourselves that we’ll make changes later. We’ll repent when life settles down. We’ll take our faith more seriously when the timing is better. We’ll deal with the things we know are wrong eventually.

But life can change in an instant, and we may not have another opportunity.

If you know there is something between you and God, today is the day to turn to Him.

What is your source of strength in hardships?

Paul endured tremendous difficulty—not only from the world around him, but from struggles within the church and opposition from false apostles. Yet through those trials, he learned greater dependence on God and experienced the comfort that only God could provide. The blessing of God's comfort was given so that Paul could comfort those who were suffering, too!

When you see someone get baptized, you're seeing a reenactment of the story of Jesus.

Jesus died on the cross, was buried for three days, and rose from the grave to return to Heaven. One day Jesus is coming back for all those that are His.

By God's design, baptism is how we are united to that same pattern: death to sin, burial with Christ, and resurrection to a new life. Baptism is not an empty symbol! It's how God saves us from sin and unites us to life in Jesus Christ.

Get your Bible and read along as James Minson explains why our union to The Gospel of Jesus Christ is an essential requirement to be prepared for the day He returns.
